We had an unforgettable experience at Gabaa Resort and Spa in Habarana! From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beauty of the surrounding nature—lush greenery, serene landscapes, and the peaceful sounds of wildlife. What made my stay truly special, though, was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. They were incredibly welcoming, always making sure I felt at home and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and peaceful, and the food was fantastic. It was the perfect combination of natural beauty and personal care, and I left feeling completely refreshed. I highly recommend it!

The place is way beyond every expectation and the hosts are the most amazing couple we could ever meet! I would need an entire book to list everything that impressed us positively. The accomodation is really cozy and super comfortable and the setting is magical, really quiet and immerse in nature. The breakfast, all home made, was delicious and Dammika was incredibly kind to come and pick us up at the train station. Will never recommend this place enough, I’m so thankful! Can’t wait to come back

The property is so unique and spacious for our family of 5. Our children loved being in nature and having a shower outside! Breakfast was delicious and we had an amazing bbq by the pool one evening that was truly special. The pool was a great size and perfect for cooling off after climbing Sigiriya! I would highly recommend staying here.

It was a great experience at Sky forest. Loved everything about the stay. It's amazing how the architecture of the cabanas and tree house blends with nature seamlessly. Habarana is a small town located at a crossroads and a main road. It is therefore very accessible to other important cities, such as Polonnaruwa, Trincomalee, Dambulla, Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, etc. As well as to the natural parks, which are located nearby. Public transport is perfectly provided. The town has the necessary facilities such as shops, a bank, a post office, a doctor, etc. The beautiful surrounding nature, and easily accessible lakes, are also an advantage.

Farm Cottage was peaceful and very comfortable. The room was clean and cozy, and the surroundings were quiet and relaxing. The host was friendly and helpful. A perfect place to unwind – I’d definitely stay again!

Good location to visit the National parks where Elephants...

Good location to visit the National parks where Elephants roam. Take a short drive to Ritigala and be amazed at the heritage site of a millenia old large forest monastery. Dine at the Ran Rasa restaurant for one of the best Chicken Koththus you will taste..

Beautiful jungle surrounds. Lots of activities. Safari doesn't tell you about all the extra costs involved. Entry fee big. Tip for animal spotter. The Harabana lake cruise is brilliant. No motor just a gentle paddle, allowing you get up close to wildlife

There are loads to do in Habarana.

There are loads to do in Habarana. Nice places to eat and drink. One unexpected pleasure was the village safari. You go for a ride on a old tractor, then a lovely boat ride across the lake. You are then shown the old traditional way of preparing and make food. Also shown other local crafts.

Staff is JUST AMAZING !!! Saranga was always checking on us to ensure we are enjoy our stay. All the staff is very friendly and receptionists are so welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious and there were lot for tourist to try out Sri Lankan cuisine. We got a chance to experience boat ride in the lake next to hotel. There was nothing to complain about. We thoroughly enjoy our stay and it is very nature friendly place. We highly recommend this place to all whoever like to enjoy peaceful, nature based stay.

Excellent natural hotel with excellent location located at the village ,extremely clean & comfortable . Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly owner Mr.Dudley He makes our trip more interesting with her advices & tips about the city , and what we can do Habarana. Best food ever had in srilanka. And lager Clean pool . Would definetely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again

This was perhaps our best stay during a three week trip in Sri Lanka. Isabelle and Moses are very special people who make their guests feel right at home. We greatly enjoyed our conversations with them. Moses' cooking skills are exceptional, and his Tuk-tuk tours through the quiet rural area near Habarana were fantastic. Would definitely come again. Thank you Isabelle and Moses for this wonderful experience.

This hotel is a gem. Wanda and Leo have created a peaceful oasis in Habarana. They were exemplary hosts who are friendly and dedicated to making the travellers trip right for each person’s wishes. I can’t recommend it enough and am excited to see how they develop the accommodation in the future. You must stay here!

This a hidden gem located in Habarana area. Truly wonderful experience located in the middle of a jungle bordering a beautiful lake. We were very fortunate to see wi,d elephants in the lake. Fantastic. The staff were excellent and very attentive and friendly Overall an amazing experience
