My family (including teenage boys) and I had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming and produced a delicious supper and breakfast for us. We were positively surprised by the beautiful setting - if I could post some photos on this site, I definitely would! The property is surrounded by beautiful palm trees, wonderful fruit trees around the back and amazing spices, as well as a luscious green paddy field, all of which the host kindly showed us. The property is opposite a very pretty river and not far from the Gal Oya lake safari start. Would definitely recommend!

When you enter the place , it is out of the world. The owner came and welcomed us. When we entered the villa we’ve been greeted with a special freshest passion fruit juice. The outside shows a beautiful garden and a large Infiniti pool. But the highlight is the lake. Then at night they arranged traditional Sri Lankan food which was very tasty, the staff was very friendly with a highly qualified chef. Next morning we could enjoy the swimming pool and made after delicious breakfast the pontoon on the lake in front. We will come definitely back and stay longer !

This was honestly one of the most welcoming and thoughtful places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, Sydney and his team looked after us so well. The chef asked what we fancied and was very accommodating. He cooked the most amazing curry, lunch and honey hoppers for breakfast (which we were introduced to and absolutely loved). They even gave us a packed lunch for our elephant boat safari, which they organised, along with a great driver. There were little extra touches that made such a different, like beers in the fridge when we arrived (and they went to get more when we ran out), a cooking class with a local family, a really interesting forest walk with an indigenous guide and when we asked if we could do some laundry they sorted it for us with no trouble at all. The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet spot with amazing Mountain View’s, a perfect place to switch off. Would highly recommend supporting this amazing project. Such a great experience 😊😊

This is a sensational property in a wonderful location close to Gal Oya NP. Every single staff member were brilliant. Friendly, attentive, informative and nothing too much trouble .
