The staff were an exceptionally nice family. Helped with everything starting with a welcome drink and ending by hailing our bus down to the next town. They also arranged our safari for the cheapest price we had come by, with an excellent guide.

I can’t rate my stay highly enough. This is my second visit here. I came back to see if I could find the elusive sloth bear and I did on my first days safari I was lucky enough to have Anton and Randy as guides. Also saw a variety of birds and a leopard walking in a distance on the road, a truly beautiful sight. Second day I went with Chamod who was an excellent spotter of birds even saw a leopard on the beach across the lake. Of course this is a National Park and you have to be lucky to see leopards and bears but the quality of the guide is a must. This is why I returned to Anton and his team. The food was excellent and bountiful. Breakfast the morning I left was a feast . Nothing is too much trouble, one evening they even arrange a birthday cake for a guest after dinner. Water is provided also there was never a problem if I wanted coffee or boiling water for my tea. Anton is passionate about wildlife and his customers, you can really feel it. At the end of my stay he even took me to the bus stop and made sure I got on the right bus. I can’t thank the team enough for another amazing 3 night stay. You can go wrong with your stay here. Excellent accommodation at a budget price.

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming guesthouse in Sri Lanka - the hospitality was beyond exceptional, and every detail felt so thoughtfully curated. The rooms were spotless and cozy, surrounded by lush greenery that created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. A great place for anyone who wants to relax, recharge, and enjoy some peace and quiet in nature. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and do everything to make you feel comfortable and at home. The local people are always smiling and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious — homemade, traditional, and cooked with love, just for you. The rooms are new, with a big, comfy bed, and there's hot water in the shower. In the mornings and evenings, it’s amazing to sit on the terrace, listen to the birds, and watch the monkeys. If you’re planning a trip to Wilpattu, make sure to stay at this resort! P.S. I’d say this is the best resort in the area.

Roshan and his family really took care of us. Messaging us ahead of time with information about the safari, which was really well organised. We saw 3 different leopards, an elephant, a bear and many more animals, we were really lucky. On arrival we got some refreshments and a free upgrade for our room. Also Roshan and his family served traditional and local Sri Lankan food. We had an amazing stay.

This place was such a lovely surprise. We booked here last minute after a problem with our other accommodation. We were so well looked after, it felt like we were in our own private villa. Ajit was particularly amazing. He made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The room itself was really cool. Very comfortable and clean with an amazing outside bathroom with a view of the trees. We had dinner and breakfast at the lodge. Both meals were excellent. They were huge - so much food! Everything was so tasty. The location is great. Right by the entrance to the park and in the middle of some fields. It was a very tranquil setting. The lodge also arranged our safari into Wilpattu and a driver to our next destination. This hotel is highly recommended.
