We stayed here for the first two nights upon arriving in Sri Lanka and could not recommend it more. It was perfect for relaxing and recuperating after our long flight before heading off to explore more of the island. The hotel sent a complimentary chauffeur who was there to collect us at arrivals (and our flight was over an hour delayed!). From arrival, all the staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly. One of us has a severe allergy to coconut and peanuts and all the hotel staff were so accommodating and were even able to prepare traditional Sri Lankan food without any coconut. The room was spotless and spacious with excellent air conditioning and a very large bed for sleeping off the jet lag. The staff were also so helpful in organising transfers/activities/restaurant recommendations. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

Terin and Co. are phenomenal. He stayed up until very late to pick us up from the airport on our delayed flight. Received us with welcoming drinks, Arranged further transport at a very competitive price with professional people, facilitated us with SIM cards for free. Asanka, Cha, and the rest of the team are warm, intuitive, and quietly brilliant. Returning to your cottage feels like the fairies have been — everything clean, calm, and glowing. It’s the kind of place that makes you breathe deeper, sleep better, and believe in the goodness of people again. I travel a lot. I’m extremely picky. And I can say — from Monte Carlo to Mauritius — this is in my top three stays anywhere in the world. The Cottage is family, nature, care, and calm wrapped into one unforgettable experience. Places like this aren’t found — they find you. And they stay with you.

We loved the location. Further form the dirty beach, in nice green quiet neighbourhood. Close to a train station, not far from the airport. The hosts are extremely pleasant and the hotel is worth a lot more than it is sold for. The food was good, the room was spacious (old aircon bit noisy). The best part of course was the pool. Clean, big and deep. Best pool I ever had in these hotels. I could have spent a day sunbathing and swimming. Great place,

Wonderfull property. Super friendly staff. We had dinner and breakfast and both meals were amazing and beyond expectations. This was the most beautiful place we stayed during our 3 week traveling in Sri Lanka. We wished we could have stayed longer at Hiru Lagoon, but unfortunately the holiday was over.
