Lovely clean room, personal service and great food

Ruwanara Royal Majestry is by far the best hotel in the Kurunegela district and one of the best in Sri Lanka! It is a hidden gem and I cannot emphasis how much I enjoyed my stayed here !! To start off with the rooms are more specious than you can ever imagine, it is bigger than the photos ! The beds are extremely luxurious and big, the bathroom is so large and you have enough room to store all your toiletries. Next the room itself is equipped with a big wardrobe, iron and ironing boards, mini fridge and even a nice private study area for relaxation or business work. The staff, are the epitome of Sri Lankan hospitality! From the beginning we were made to feel very welcome into this property and with open arms they made our stay the best stay ever ! This is my home away from home and next time I am in Sri Lanka, I will stay here and will be recommending this hotel to all our family and friends as well! Special thanks to Kavindu, Amila, Anura, chef Priyantha for catering to our every need and making us feel like royalty with their treatment !! They were so kind and I will never forget their hospitality as this kind of quality and service is extremely rare to find ! The property itself is tucked away behind some beautiful paddy feels and our room overlooked the most amazing pool which is cleaned daily! The pool itself we have been in several times and it is clean and extremely refreshing on the warmer days. When we weren’t in the pool we were in the comfort of the AC’d hotel room, watching TV or sleeping on the comfy beds. A perfect holiday! Ruwanara is one of a kind and you won’t find a hotel like this anywhere in Sri Lanka or surrounding areas. We saw many magnificent weddings taking place and we learnt it caters up to 450 person weddings and can accomodate guests with rooms as well! I have recommended this hotel to all my family for any of their upcoming weddings as I think the service and location is just perfect !! I cannot wait to be back.

Incredible place, one of the nicest we stayed in Sri Lanka and it was just meant to be a stopover. Very comfortable room. Great common area and pool. River was really nice to swim in too. The best was the warm welcome from Lakshan and getting to chat with him. He is a great host and very good cook too! Would definitely recommend staying and eating there. Food was very reasonable prices and very good quality .

The right place to land in Sri Lanka:in a colonial building in a pastoral atmosphere and very kind and pleasant and attentive team

Its a beautiful place with wonderful views. I got the best room i think! They really helped me to get comfortable. The road up was very difficult, but they are prepared and came down to help me (i was driving my own tuktuk and am not so experienced). I was the only one there but still could get anything from the menu. It is great food, also the breakfast. After check out they helped me get the tuktuk down again. Very happy i stayed here as a stop between negombo en anuradhapura.

quiet beautiful place. Well-kept garden and always clean house. Mobile Internet coverage is good here, so you can work remotely. The food here is very tasty and inexpensive. So I've always eaten here. The staff is very friendly and doesn’t ask unnecessary questions (as happens in Sri Lanka). I spent 10 days here and I felt very comfortable. There are fans in the rooms that can be turned on at low speeds, so you can’t hear them at all.

The fact they finally let us in. They did offer us a free breakfast the next morning.

The stay at Vasus and Suriyas place was great. The hospitality was exceptional as well as the food provided. The garden was a treat and the small Dog Cookie very friendly. Thank you so much!

An authentic property and, as the title says, hiding in nature! Off the beaten track but still accessible. A warm welcome awaits you from the lovely hosts and of course delicious food. Wake up to the sound of nature and a wonderful breakfast before setting off for the day. Splendid!
