I stayed overnight at this hotel and was very pleased. The room is comfortable, there is everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Delicious and varied food is prepared and served upon request at any time. The owner of the hotel Anju is friendly and caring, very pleasant to talk to and friendly. On my next trip to Sri Lanka, I will definitely come to this wonderful hotel.

From the very first moment, we felt genuinely welcome at this beautiful estate, nestled in lush greenery and surrounded by spice, fruit, and vegetable plants. The owner and his team are lovely and try to accommodate you as well as possible. What makes this place even more special is its support for the local village community. You can enjoy delicious, authentic Sri Lankan meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A range of activities is offered, including village tours and scenic hikes through the beautiful surrounding nature. I’ve rarely felt so relaxed, completely immersed in the peaceful natural setting. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though understandably quite basic due to the remote location. We will definitely be back!

Amazing place in amazing location with amazing owners! I loved it from the very beginning. I usually travel with public transportation and Nadie helped me to get to their place from the main nearby town and later gave me a ride back. She also was very helpful with organizing for me a transport to main sights in the area - Arankele Forest Monastery and Ridi Viharaya (I had a scooter but it was also possible to go with a tuk tuk driver). Breakfast and dinner were made at home and they were delicious and the portions were big enough. I also had some fresh fruit juices and fruits, it was amazing! There is also a nice swimming pool with trees and bushes around. It’s so beautiful 😍 Important to note that there is almost no internet connection there, I don’t find it as a disadvantage but if you want to work online from there, that might be impossible. However, if you want to relax, go offline and enjoy the nature as me - that’s the best place to go! Thank you Nadie for taking such a great care of me! I will definitely be back! 🥰

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful, nature-surrounded retreat and honestly, I wish I could have stayed longer. The entire experience was incredibly calming — nestled in the heart of nature, the serenity of the surroundings was just what we needed to unwind. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Sydney, the General Manager, Kasun the Butler, the Chef and the entire team went above and beyond to accommodate my partner’s dietary restrictions, ensuring every meal was safe, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. The food was outstanding, fresh, and full of flavour, easily some of the best we’ve had while travelling. Their attention to detail and genuine care made us feel incredibly supported and welcomed. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed to blend in with the natural setting. We woke up to the sounds of birds and the rustling of trees — a rare and peaceful experience. Fantastic location in the Knuckles. We stayed here for 2 nights. The house is very special with many cosy seating areas and of course the stunning views outside from the rocking chairs on the terrace. The work they do for the community and their mission and vision is admirable. Nanda is a very nice host to talk to and helps you with everything like providing rain gear and leech socks for our hike .He taught us the Sri Lankan game Carrom and even played this with our kids. The food is fantastic, so many different dishes to taste from, and we loved the afternoon tea with home made cakes. Thanks a lot Nanda and team!
