The comfort of green rice fields. Sigiriya Rock can be seen clearly from the accommodation. The accommodation was very basic but not uncomfortable. We stayed for 3 nights, the water worked fine and the electricity went out once. I ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel every day and lunch at a village restaurant, and the skills of the hotel chef ‘Saranggu’ seemed to be the best in Sigiriya. We were very surprised. I liked the feeling of traveling to the countryside. The village scenery and people were very nice. I also want to see the big, gentle dog ‘Roxy’. And there is a tuk-tuk selling bread that comes in front of the accommodation every morning and evening.

To be honest, it is hard to say that the room condition or service quality is equal or better than 5-star hotels. So if you expect perfection as a hotel, you may be slightly disappointed. The room condition is a bit old. However, the experience of staying here cannot be evaluated simply by the quality of the accommodation. It is the best. Here, you can feel the philosophy of Bawa that you should be immersed in nature. Perfect place!!! The cabanas are spacious and very clean with the best shower we had in Sri Lanka. The pool is clean and large and a bonus for hot hours, we were with children who really enjoyed it. The host, Gamani, is so kind, helpful and friendly. We couldn't ask for a better place than this.
