I was initially hesitant to book this hotel after seeing its only review rated 6/10. However, I quickly realized that rating was far too harsh. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The hotel itself is of a high standard, with fantastic facilities. The pool and sunbeds were excellent, providing a relaxing environment. Breakfast was outstanding, offering a great selection of both Sri Lankan and Western options. We loved our stay.

Swell Shacks is the best place to stay in Mirissa! 🌴 It’s such a peaceful and detoxifying spot — perfect if you want to truly relax and destress. Their amenities are very modern and well thought out, and the breakfast they provided was amazing. The staff are so warm, kind, and hospitable, always making sure guests are comfortable. Honestly, I can’t say anything bad about this place — everything was perfect. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Mirissa!

Beautiful hotel in a great location so close to two beaches walking distance. Lots of restaurants close by. Kitchen provided so you can cook or have snacks available. Property kept in great condition and super stylish. Lovely staff as well who were helpful especially when we were trying to navigate the bus system or wanted to check in early.

We originally booked Belika for three nights, but ended up staying an extra night we loved it so much (and wish we could have stayed even longer). Julien and the rest of the Belika crew made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay, and helped us make the most of our stay in Hiri. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a great pool to hang out at when you want a little break from the beach. Plus lots of friendly animals to hang out with :) And the BEST breakfast anywhere in Sri Lanka. Would recommend an early morning surf/yoga before breakfast to work up an appetite!

Really good value, rooms aren't perfect but for the very fair price we have no complaints. Access to the beach is amazing and the stretch of beach is clean in comparison to others we have been to. Staff were lovely, the breakfast is great and the view from the balcony was so good.
