Their willingness to assist with any request, from room service to arranging tours, truly exemplified their dedication to hospitality. Nestled amidst the tranquil jungle surroundings, the hotel provided a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The sight of peacocks, monkeys, and squirrels frolicking in the hotel garden added an extra layer of charm to the experience. One highlight of my stay was the early morning packed breakfast provided for our Wilpattu tour at 5:30 am. It was a thoughtful touch that allowed us to start our day of exploration on the right foot. Moreover, the presence of an organic coconut and mango grove on the premises added a delightful tropical touch to the experience, showcasing a commitment to sustainability and locally sourced produce. Beautiful spacious tranquil property with lots of trees and shade and a lovely clean swimming pool. Run by a kind and friendly family who tried their best to teach me Sinhalese, plus 2 lovely dogs, Rocky and Shadow

I felt at home and everyone in the family is a friendly, accommodating and a warm host. I learned a few more words of Sinhala while I helped Damayanthie with the cooking or played UNO with their children. There is a river nearby where you can swim, so I went there with the 2 kids. Beautiful location, a little off the beaten track. Rooms very big and the bed so comfortable. Staff were really lovely and the food amazing. We stayed an extra night. There is a lovely pool too. Comms via whats app was great and really responsive

The staff here was always friendly, attentive, and willing to assist with any request whether it was arranging transportation, Big clean rooms, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, breakfast is amazing, very near to historical places and temple providing local recommendations, or simply checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. Very helpful and kind people. They will help you for anything. Speak very well English. Perfect to arrive late by the night bus which can drop you at the door being on the main road. The rooms apre perfectly clean and confortable. Food very good.

Roshan and his family and friends are warm and welcoming, going the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and worthwhile. There were personal touches everywhere from the greeting from Roshan before our arrival to his personally greeting us as we arrived. All the food is home cooked and traditional. They use local organic products for meals and serve everything with care. The surroundings are exactly what you hope to see when you book a home stay near a wildlife reserve - very raw, beautiful jungle while still being kept clean and neat and safe.

We loved our stay at wildhideaway, the food was really nice and served under the stars. We also went on the full day safari, this was perfectly arranged with breakfast and lunch. We saw a lot of animals and the host shared details about the animals. We really recommend the accommodation and safari, you will get the most friendly and warm care from Anta, he will make sure you will have a wonderful time!

Everything was amazing! Exceptional design of the whole hotel. We have never stayed in such an extremely well designed and well located place (view to the lake)- and even more: in such a „green“ hotel. No plastic!!! Fantastic breakfast and dinner. The staff was amazing and the wonderful manager always around and always trying to fulfill all your wishes! Thank you for everything— and hopefully we will come back!
