This hotel was outstanding! Impeccably clean, with delicious food and incredibly kind staff. They went above and beyond to solve a problem we had, arranging everything perfectly for the next day. Super organized and attentive. Highly recommended for an exceptional stay! Dinner was excellent, with an exceptional rice & curry and delicious kottu (a local specialty).

By far the best accomodation we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel is actually more a villa with only few rooms available, which makes it very private and calm. Everything about this place is stunning and one feels that every detail was thoughtfully designed. The hosts Siri and Chathurika were very friendly and made our stay something really special. Siri even gave us a private tour through the temples and ruins of Anuradhapura. It was all topped off by the fantastic food they prepared for us. Staying at Arachchi was one of the highlights of our trip, and would come back to Sri Lanka just to stay some more days :) we cannot recommend this place enough!

The host and is family are incredibly kind, welcoming, gentle and helpful ! Very peaceful place, quiet ! Bedroom is very comfy, super bathroom with a lot of water pression They welcomed us with a tea and homemade biscuits ! Breakfast was great! This was arranged under a shady 'Arjun Tree' (Kumbuk in Sinhala) in the charming compound filled with bird calls, butterflies right in front of the room. It was so appealing, appetizing, delicious and wholesome. The hospitality of the owners of the Golden Gate Ceylon was great indeed. The place is so quiet, secure and peaceful. You will really feel the tranquil.
