The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location faced to beautiful paddy field. Top tip : Hotel owner Mrs.Dilhani arranged our Safari and made us delicious breakfast packed in a containers to carry with us while on safari.We had an absolutely brilliant day and I would love to recommend White House Inn - Thissamaharama to other travellers. Our stay was really perfect. The hotel was one of the cleanest we had in Sri Lanka, the pool is awesome and invites for relaxed hours. The room and its equipment was also impeccable. We spontaneously prolonged our stay for one more night because we just loved it. Tharindu and the rest of the staff were super attentive and fulfilled every wish. The restaurant was also yummy and the prices were reasonable. They even gave us a free bottle of water for the onward journey. The organization of the full day safari was easy and we got to see elephants and leopards with our guide Dinuka. The guide was also very good as he was very experienced (one time he predicted the exact point of a leopard crossing the road). All in all: If we ever come back to Tissimaharama, we will definitely stay there again!

Incredible host who took os out on a really nice evening tour! He arranged the safari for us the next day where we saw a leopard and elephant! He helped us get transportation to Mirissa as well the next day for a really good price! The view was beautiful and food was good. The location was a bit remote but really nice if you’re doing a safari. Can’t recommend enough:)

I feel very lucky to stay at Nalin’s place. I highly recommend it! It was the best place during my trip. The room was very clean, the mattress was comfortable. We got 5 star service here. Nalin was very kind and nice, prepared everything I asked for, hot water for shower, fruit and blanket. He also brought us to see sunrise, visit 4 beautiful lakes and local temples, and introduced birds. He has very rich bird knowledge. We even saw swimming crocodile in a lake! His wife cooks so well! We had super delicious homemade dinner. I really love it! Nalin also helped us book a safari, and we saw leopard, bear, and many other animals.

Wow, wow, wow! This hotel is one of the best hotels I've ever been in my life. The room was amazing, the food was excellent, and the stuff were really friendly and nice. Vassa the owner is kind, and doing a great job running this place. I want also to mention Upul, one of the stuff members, he was so friendly and kind, and helped us with everything we needed. He really got in to our hearts.

We would like to say once again a HUGE thank you to Randy and his family. We felt like home. You will never regret choosing Elegant Lake House for your stay. Randy is the most amazing host we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. He gave us a tour around the village, shared his knowledge about birds and animals , showed his garden with some fruits tasting, arranged the safari tour and the taxi to our next destination. You will also have a chance to go to the temple not far from the place . You will get to try some new juices (at least for us it was something we've never tried) They provided us with two bicycles that we were using to move around. He also offered to give us a ride to dinner places. We had such an enjoyable stay at Elegant Lake House. Thank you very much !!!

The White House Inn is a fantastic place to stay in...

The White House Inn is a fantastic place to stay in Thissamaharama. It’s situated in a calm and natural setting, making it perfect for relaxation. The inn is also very close to the Yala National Park, which is great for those looking to go on safari. The hotel is clean and comfortable, providing a welcoming atmosphere. The spacious lobby area is a nice spot to unwind. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, offering excellent service throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the food. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and the Sri Lankan dishes were absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the White House Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
