Good environment At night you can various animals sound because this is thick ungle area. Early morning you can vast typeof birds and their songs specially peacock. You can see somany peacocks around the hotel. Very mind relax. You dont feel any stress. Their meel also very good vilage type. Rooms comfortable excellent .like 5* hotel.

This was the best place we stayed in our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. Super luxurious room, loads of space, beautiful bathroom. Breakfast served on your own private terrace every morning. Our host couldn't be more helpful. Location is ideal, just a short walk to the beach and the turtles. We did witness the egg laying on the beach. Plenty of restaurants a short walk from the hotel. This place is truly a paradise.

I made a booking here after I have read all the amazing reviews and I’m so glad I did. Nalin is such a nice person and just an amazing host! He contacted us after booking and we always stayed in touch. He was happy to help us with anything we needed and always provided with great tips and info. We were really touched with his hospitality. They cooked a great dinner just was for us that was included in the stay and it was soo good! Their house is beautiful, new, very clean. WiFi worked good. They even met us with welcome drinks and Nalin woke up at 4am to make a tea before our safari. Tissa itself is so beautiful town that is really worth visiting not only for Yala. We wish we could stay longer, we hope to come back again! Thank you very much Nalin 😊

We would like to say once again a HUGE thank you to Randy and his family. We felt like home. You will never regret choosing Elegant Lake House for your stay. Randy is the most amazing host we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. He gave us a tour around the village, shared his knowledge about birds and animals , showed his garden with some fruits tasting, arranged the safari tour and the taxi to our next destination. You will also have a chance to go to the temple not far from the place . You will get to try some new juices (at least for us it was something we've never tried) They provided us with two bicycles that we were using to move around. He also offered to give us a ride to dinner places. We had such an enjoyable stay at Elegant Lake House. Thank you very much !!!

Where do I even start? The owner was the nicest host we encountered in Sri Lanka. Forget about eating anywhere but at their house. They prepare the most delicious curry - best we had so far. They breakfast was really good and the portions are very large. The host also organized a safari to Yala park with a very experinced ranger. We even saw a Leopard and a tusker. The host proposed that we go to Kataragama with him for the festival. He arranged the best seats at the festival just for us - free of charge. We met some of the nicest people at the festival, they explained all the history during the festival and tried to please all of our expectations. The location of the house is also at the edge of a very beautiful lake. All in all, you will not be disapointed to book your stay here.
