If you stay a week or more a kitchen can be used. Every day around 18.00 hours you can see elephants quite nearby at one of the thee lakes. 2 or 3 or 6. Very exiting. They come to drink water. We loved everything about this place. We were greeted on arrival by the family and were able to check in early. They upgraded us to one of their brand new rooms which was an amazing raised cabin, it had stunning views over the pool and you could watch the sun set. They have a restaurant on site which was handy, breakfast was superb. The grounds and gardens are bueatiful and well kept. The pool is massive and kept very clean. Wish we could of stayed longer.

Harry was super kind during our stay at Afenta. Nothing was too much and he offered us tasty restaurants and gave us good tips for the area. Mihintale is also a beautiful village with beautiful nature.

Amazing place. Great service, the family is so kind and really does everything to make your stay the best it could be. They helped me with arranging a reliable and friendly driver to get from the airport to the guest house, and we stopped multiple times so I could try local fruits, so sweet. The son of the household showed me around Mihintale, and the parents provided a lovely meal every morning and evening at my requested time - absolutely amazing food that will keep you going for days haha! The room was very nice and clean. I was looking for something a bit more fancy, and definitely got what I was looking for and for a great price. Super comfortable bed and pillows, soft sheets and a nice bathroom. Environment is super calm and great if you're looking for some peace and quiet. Peacocks, chameleons and beautiful butterflies all around, you can spot everything from the comfort of your breakfast table. Honestly couldn't think of any improvements!
