One of the best experiences I had in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan are in general very warm and caring people, but these guys were exceptional. I had some problems with my bike on the way up, they picked me up and helped me to get it fixed. The contact was very easy and reliable over WhatsApp. Yes, the place is away from everything, but that’s what you‘re looking for if you go there and they make the access easy for you. They either send you the location to get there or pick you up and drive you safely with their jeep for the last part. Magic place, the cabin was simple but very clean, the perfect balance between being in nature and having a comfortable bed and good sanitaries. They offer very good breakfast, lunch and dinner and organise different tours to the rain forest (with transport). Thank you again for your help and for making my stay so special, I’d always come again!

The whole experience was amazing. From the warm welcom through the beautiful room with great view. And Hemel , the owner that is a gifted guide to the rainforest. So kind and nice and at the same time knowlagble and quick to spot every living thing. They are a young couple with a little girl that own and run this amazing g place. For us, it eas the high light of our Sri lankan adventure Thank you both!!

I stayed at Sinharaja Pitadeniya Hut in Lankagama during our research work in Sinharaja, and it was an excellent experience! The location is ideal—conveniently close to the main road and within easy access to both the Lankagama and Pitadeniya entrances of Sinharaja Forest Reserve. This made it very practical for our research activities. The food was another highlight. Breakfast was included in the price and featured authentic local dishes, which were both delicious and satisfying. The host was incredibly friendly and supportive, always ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The accommodation itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment to relax after a day of work. Overall, it’s a great place for anyone visiting the area, whether for research or leisure. Highly recommended!

The streak of perfect reviews seemed too good to be true - but make no mistake, this is one of the best homestays I’ve experienced in years. Location: Perfect, right in nature’s heart. Apartment: Beautifully built and spotlessly clean. Food: Some of the best I had in 4 weeks across Sri Lanka. Price: the price of the whole package is unmatched in the area. Don’t worry about the lack of nearby restaurants or supermarkets - you won’t need them. Staying here feels like being at your favorite family members, where every meal is a highlight. Prabath and his family treat hosting not just as a business but as their passion. Every morning, I woke up excited for the day ahead, with Prabath sharing his favorite hiking trails and passing down his family’s deep local knowledge. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel like an old friend. For three days, I was part of the village - Prabath’s friends became my friends. But don’t worry: your privacy remains their top priority. This is the definition of a hardworking family who takes genuine pride in sharing their home and heritage with guests. They put their heart into making your stay special. I'm leaving truly happy, with their kindness carved into my memory. If you're reading this, don't hesitate - this is a stay you'll treasure. One of our best stays in Sri Lanka! The hut is very idyllic, surrounded by beautiful nature – a perfect place to relax and recharge. The communication before arrival was excellent, and thanks to Ravindra’s directions we found the hut easily, even though it’s a bit tucked away. He also organized a wonderful rainforest tour and helped with our onward transport. The breakfast was great, and we also had the chance to enjoy a delicious dinner. Ravindra was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay – really the best host we had. Thank you so much for everything!

Best hotel of 6 in our entire trip. The area is amazing, the view is breathtaking. One can swim in the pool or in the river just outside the garden. The staff is extremely friendly, they have a sweet dog, fresh maracujas and lizards, warans and beautiful birds to give you the right jungle vibe. The water is warm, WiFi sometimes a little shaky but overall good. We will definitely come again!
