The hosts are a wonderful family, super friendly and helpful. They built those beautiful apartments nearby the river allowing visitors to be in the centre of the rainforest. The river is quite loud so one needs to hear that in mind but I personally loved it, such closeness to nature.

Literally one of the best places I have ever been in my life! I am so glad I chose this hotel for my stay in Sinharaja. I planned to stay 1 night then I extended it with once more. You have a stunning view. The family who runs the place are super kind, loving people. We even cooked together amazing Sri Lankan dishes, and the wife Mesha cooks incredibly tasty food. Saman, the husband took me for the rainforest tour and he is a great guide with much experience and he pays a lot of attention on his surroundings, you will definitely will see a lot of animals with him! I highly recommend their place and I hope I can also come back one day! ❤️

Where to start? Hemal is such a such a kind guy and the best host you can imagine. It’s a new hotel so I was happy to be the first client. The hotel is at the entrance of the park and besides the great and spacious rooms as well as great food made by his wife, Hemal is an awesome forst guide that spots animals from a distance away! I did both the night tour seeing loris, scorpions, deer and snakes etc. (be silent while he’s spotting) as well as day tour with a.o. endangered monkeys and a beautiful waterfall. Also, from the terraces you can spot a lot of peacocks and other birds in the front of the stay. He also helped me arrange a taxi a good price back. 200% worth the visit!

The villa was beautifully designed, clean and comfortable, offering the perfect setting for relaxation. Nestled amidst tea estates, the location was both tranquil and rejuvenating. Situated between the Pitadeniya and Kurulugala entrances of the Sinharaja Forest Reserve. We absolutely loved the food. The staff’s warm hospitality and attentiveness truly elevated our experience, making it a stay to remember.

The Location is very beautiful, situated in the jungle in a small village. The family was incredibly kind and made our stay feel like home. We had delicious homemade, traditional dinner and breakfast. The house is close to the entrance to Sinharaja Forest and they recommended us a great Guide who spotted lots of animals and showed us many ayurverdic healing plants. I can‘t recommend this place enough :)

We arrived very late at this magical place which was very close to the park entrance and they cooked us dinner, everything was delicious and the family was truly welcoming. The cleanest house we've found so far and an atmosphere that makes you feel at home.

The location. The room looked like it belonged in a boutique hotel. Incredibly clean. Staff were lovely. It was a husband and wife team. The food was so flavoursome and plenty of it. The wife ( sorry I can’t spell your name ) was a delight. Prabath ( not sure about the spelling ) took me on two tours, my favourite by far was the wildlife one, saw plenty of lizards, snakes, spiders and a pair of adorable frogmouth owls. Great tour. They even gave me a lift back to Deniyaya to get the bus back to Galle . Plenty of birds and wildlife around the property . The photos were taken from my room there.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Dolagawa, nestled in the heart of the rainforest. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious home-cooked meals—fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The hospitality was exceptional, with friendly staff and a welcoming owner who made sure we felt at home throughout our visit. If you’re looking for a place to relax and reconnect with nature, Dolagawa is the ideal retreat. Highly recommended!
