Lovely well managed property on the beachfront. The service and hospitality of the staff is a massive highlight - a great bunch of people always happy to provide suggestions on what to do nearby and help with any request. Room is very large and clean with sea views. Also the chef is an excellent cook, had some of the nicest Sri Lankan meals here. The traditional breakfast is not to be missed! Highly recommend.

Firstly The room was so beautiful nice and clean and we really liked it. And the staff was so friendly thank you so much for everything..❤️ fantastic facilities, great views and super friendly and helpful staff. Food was great too - breakfast and dinner was great, big portions alert!!Fantastic for weekends and longer stays. Great location enjoyed staying there.. we mostly enjoyed in the pool such a massive pool.loved it so much.. great and lovely service .. going to come again and again❤❤❤again thank you so much for everything 💗

From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like family, and by the end of the trip, I truly felt like I’d been adopted into theirs. The hotel has a cozy, family run vibe with amazing food and drinks. The kitchen is run by the Italian Roberto, who prepares a delicious mix of local and Italian dishes that make every meal something to look forward to. If you’re planning a stay, make sure you’re there on a Saturday. Pizza night is legendary. It’s not just a meal, it’s an event. The whole crew gathers, the wood fired oven gets going, and the laughs and pizzas don’t stop. On the beach, the team’s expertise is next level. They’re attentive, experienced, and genuinely passionate about helping you improve. Whether you’re just starting out or pushing into advanced tricks, they meet you where you are. Over my two week stay, they helped me elevate my kite skills more than I thought possible. Whether you’re coming solo, as a couple, or with friends, this place offers the perfect balance of progression, connection, and local charm. I’ll definitely be back.

I have to say, it exceeded all of our expectations. The villa's were absolutely beautiful and comfortable, with all necessary amenities, including air conditioning which was a lifesaver during the hot days. The pool was a great place to relax after a long day of kitesurfing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - they really made it a great experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious local food that was offered. The resort's restaurant served a variety of mouth-watering Sri Lankan dishes that were made with fresh ingredients. The kitchen staff took pride in preparing local dishes and appreciated our interest in their cuisine. After the first three nights we simply asked them to recommend what we should eat (emphasizing that we wanted to eat local Sri Lankan food) which resulted in many dishes to remember. The location of the resort was perfect for kitesurfing enthusiasts like myself, as it was close to many great kitesurfing spots, and the staff were happy to give recommendations and even arrange transportation to the spots. We booked our lessons and rented our gear at Surfpoint which is located at a 10-minute walk from the resort. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Hiru Resort and Kite Surfing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable and kite-surfing friendly vacation. The combination of the great facilities, friendly staff, delicious food and great location made for an unforgettable experience.
