We had the pleasure of staying at Taprobane House Hotel for 26 days, and it truly felt like a second home. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel itself is peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained — a perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms are comfortable, the garden is lovely, and the atmosphere is calm and serene. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and we appreciated the genuine hospitality throughout our stay. Special thanks to Rashmi and the entire team for making our time in Sri Lanka so memorable. We left with full hearts and hope to return one day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tranquil and authentic experience.

If I should come back to Colombo, I would stay here again in any case. The hotel shines with its cleanliness and is very professionally run. The room has everything and everything works perfectly. The staff was very friendly and supportive. I felt like I was in a 5-star hotel here. The closeness to the beach is brilliant. You can reach the ocean in just 2 minutes walking distance and have a beautiful beach for walking and swimming. On the other hand, you are not just in a touristic part of the city and have various local shopping facilities and restaurants right on your doorstep. The location is very quiet and the singing of the birds makes you feel like you're not in the big capital. The internet is very fast and working the whole time. The breakfast was very delicious.

When he found out that his usual taxi driver wasn’t available on the day of arrival, he personally went to the airport to pick up my manager. This level of care and commitment is rare to find and made all the difference in ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience. The staff at La Maison really went above and beyond. From greeted arrivals with welcome drinks to attentive and friendly staff at the restaurant. Chamara in particular was an excellent concierge. He booked appointments for me at the local spa (Noelines is great!) organised transfers and provided helpful recommendations. The hotel is a green oasis in busy Colombo. I enjoyed lounging by the pool and slept in the most comfortable bed. The location was safe so I felt comfortable walking to other cafes, restaurants and ATMs on my own. The owner Christophe is very passionate about his hotel and will happily answer questions or give you a tour. There are seven rooms at La Maison each with their own French theme. Finally I’d recommend the cheese platter which is actually made up of French imported French cheeses!

It was a lovely room with extremely comfortable beds and pillows. We received a room upgrade, which was both helpful and kind. We loved the sea view from the rooftop and during breakfast. The staff was incredibly friendly—special thanks to Inshaf, Thurindi, and Thanara. We truly enjoyed our stay!
