Everything was so clean and the food at the hotel restaurant was really good.(We had fried rice and koththu.) When we go to the next place , the staff took us there. Thank you so much for good services. And the view is very beautiful. staff is very good and helpful. Food is very delicious.

Situated in a quiet location with an excellent view of Sigiriya Rock, while still being a short walk to restaurants. The pool area was well maintained, and it was great to have a swim after a long hot day exploring the area. The staff and breakfast was great. The room was clean, comfortable and as advertised. The air-conditioning worked very well. A fantastic place to stay.

Great brand new hotel with spacious rooms and a nice pool to cool down after climbing up the rocks. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, they gave us advice on where to eat/drink and arranged transportation at a very reasonable price. The breakfast is excellent, you cannot eat it all. We were served fruits and freshly squeezed fruit juice, then omelette and next pancakes/local specialty halaba. Also, if you go up the road leading to the hotel you’ll see the fields and a nice lake, perfect location when you’d like to get a break from the tourist crowds

Amazing location, the host was extremely nice and welcoming. Really helpful and giving advice on what to do and helping ordering tuk tuks if required. The cabana itself was extremely clean and spacious with good AC. Food was amazing too. Cannot fault, definitely stay here if in the area.

I didn’t come to Sigiriya to explore the town itself, but purely for the iconic Sigiriya Rock—and it was absolutely worth it. The experience was incredible, with stunning views from the top. My friends and I climbed up for sunrise, which I highly recommend as the best time to go. Just be prepared: there are a lot of stairs—some carved directly into the rock, others metal and uneven. We visited in November just after the monsoon, so it was warm and the climb had us sweating buckets. If you plan on taking those perfect social-media photos, bring a spare T-shirt… or do what I did and let AI handle the magic! Although the ascent was tough and left us literally out of breath, the moment we reached the top made it all worth it. The views were truly breathtaking—quite fitting, since the climb already took my breath away.

Lions rock is great, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lions rock is great, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed for two nights in the end as we got to sigiriya late. This meant we ate dinner one night at the little hut which wass great, climbed the rock, then moved on to the habarana which was also interesting to wander and eat.

The weather is very calm.

The weather is very calm. Recommended time to start climb is 5.45 AM. So worthy to watch the surroundings from top of the Sigiriya. You can learn a lot about Sigiriya. You can get a guide if you want from the entrance.

I’ll never forget the day we spent climbing Sigiriya. And no wonder such a wonderful World Heritage Site kept popping up everywhere: Test it against the massive old fortress, the gorgeous frescoes, and images taken of landscapes from the summit, and there you’ll pick one of Sri Lanka’s greatest treasures. Not an easy or casual climb but certainly one that throws panoramic views so very far worth it and lucid into history at every step. Water gardens at the bottom quite worth a visit. One has to get there at dawn to avoid numerous tourists and scorching sun. Thus, in general, Sigiriya is a combination of artistic creation, engineering work of antiquity, and a miracle of nature, and a must-see site in Sri Lanka.

There is so much more to do in this area than I realised.

There is so much more to do in this area than I realised. I will definitely come back. The area is beautiful and we were sad to leave. We dud Pidurangala Rock which was fun, more of an adventurous climb than Lions Rock. It has incredible views of Lions Rock. We also did a safari in Minneriya National Park. The park was beautiful and we saw so many elephants plus lots of varieties of birds, golden jackals, monkees, mongoose, the grizzled giant squirrel, buffalo and jungle foul. We also went to Dambula Temple Caves which is very spiritual and Luckgrove Spice Gardens which was an incredible experience. Highly recommend this area.

A nice hike to view a breathe taking view.

A nice hike to view a breathe taking view. If anyone should travel to Sigiriya they should start to climb the rock at 5.30am as the ticket counters open. Wearing proper hiking or workout clothes would be the best.

We stayed at Tepraas Sigiriya for the past two days and we are absolutely thrilled. By far the best accommodation we've had in Sri Lanka. Spacious rooms, a fantastic pool, and incredibly helpful staff. The property itself is charming, surrounded by greenery, with adorable little squirrels running around, and we even spotted an iguana (we think! :p). The hotel staff couldn't have been more wonderful, and they helped me organize a massage and arranged a driver as well. The restaurant even had a high chair for our baby. Highly recommend!

Lovely family hotel with an amazing swimming pool which can compete with most 4 or 5 star hotels. Fernando and his family and staff made us feel very welcomed and well looked after. Our room was nice and simple and very clean. The food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious. View of the Sigiriya rock from the dining/breakfast area on the top floor. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night but would definitely stay again if we decided to come to the area again. Very good value for money.

Fantastic hotel. Very friendly and gentle staff. Very spacious room and bathroom, all spotless clean. Communal balcony where every room has its own private table right outside their door. An excellent breakfast will be brought to these tables. Sigiriya is a very nice village to hang out in, and with the lodge being so nice, I would have liked to stay longer if it wasn't for the poor WiFi.

Anjula and his family are beautiful persons and they achieved to make us really feel like we are at our home.
