Best hotel in the area and in all south Sri lanka. It's a brand new hotel with a stunning modern Sri Lankan design. It's located in a small quite village between Wiligama and Midigama, a walk distance from the Fishermen beach and very reachable from the main road. The owner of the place is simple amazing, always carring for his tenants. This hotel made my vacation way much better than it was.

We loved our stay here so much! The pool was fantastic and rooms were clean, comfy and had everything we needed. The food was also amazing. The highlight for us was the staff, they were all so beautiful. The owners were the friendliest hotel owners we have met. And the elder man who served us dinner/ Brekky was the sweetest, taking so much care into our meals, our stay, etc. We couldn’t recommend this place enough, and will be staying again for our next trip to Madiha 🥰🥰

It was incredible two weeks at the Tropical Villa! I love this place so much! Me and my husband enjoyed spending our vacation here. Huge thanks to the team who makes this villa such comfortable, cozy and safe place! We had a spacious and clean room on the first floor. It was so cool to wake up and go straight to the pool and then practice yoga in the yard. After that we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast (scramble, sausages, bacon, salad, fresh juice, fruits, bread toasts with butter and jam, coffee). Location is top. Ocean, fish point, different cafes, money exchange point, bus station are super close (2-5 minutes walk). Most of the surf spots and a big grocery store are about 10-15 minutes walk. Staff are super friendly, attentive and helpful. Don’t hesitate to talk to them and ask if you need something. One day we asked about a safari tour and the next day we got round trip transfer, guide and jeep (exploring the Yala Park).

Everything in Kiss Blossom was beyond expectations ! It's a little gem with view on the lake where you can see so many animals. The pool is great and relaxing, the breakfast is delicious and the personnel is very kind and helpful. We stayed one more night because we were so enthousiastic ! Highly recommanded 😊

Our weekend getaway as a final Hurrah before school starts...

Our weekend getaway as a final Hurrah before school starts was to this beautiful bungalow located in a coconut estate. Just a 10 minute drive from the Godagama interchange, for those who want a getaway that is not too far from Colombo and does not involve a lot of driving, this is the place to go. The minute you arrive, there is a feeling of calm and solitude that slows your pace and you forget the hustle of urban life, and fall into the rhythm of a rural setting. Our first afternoon was spent on the swing in the garden under the mango tree and in the beautiful infinity edge pool watching the birds that made this area its home – spotted doves, golden orioles, peacocks, woodpeckers, paradise fly catchers and the black eagle flying above. In the nights while we lounged in the pool, we heard several Loris in the trees just beyond the pool. The food was delicious and based on what was available that day, which means it was fresh. In the afternoons we were treated to fresh Kurumba. Locally sourced curd and kittul pani which melts in one’s mouth was dessert. Kobeimalhena is off the well travelled roads, but is still only about a 15 minute drive to Mirissa and Weligama. We were able to drive to both Mirissa and Weligama for evening dinners. For those who want quieter surroundings than what Mirissa and Weligama offer, then Kobeimalhena is the place to base yourself. There are four rooms, and we were booked in the triple which is a Loft style bedroom with modern amenities. Kobeimalhena provides an experience of what it would have been like to live in a spacious Walawwa (Mansion). For those who have an interest in vernacular architecture of this island, Kobeimalhena offers one the experience of living in a spacious Walawwa which has been lovingly restored with its long verandha, central courtyard and Dutch style antique furniture, a reminder of a bygone period. We came back to Colombo feeling refreshed and re-charged. Highly recommended.
