We absolutely loved staying here. Errol and his staff were so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the local wildlife. This is definitely a place to stay if you are interested in conservation, bird life and natural habitats. We booked a safari to Wasgamuwa National Park through Web of Life, and had the most fantastic time. Errol, Saratha, and Sandy accompanied us on the trip, and were fantastic guides. We had a beautiful dinner and breakfast all prepared using ingredients from the local area. Even though it was only a short stay, we had the best time and admire everything Errol and his team are doing for the local environment and community.

We stayed one night at the Happy House with Supun. He is a very attentive and friendly host. Various interesting activities are offered. We chose the safari in Wasgamuwa National Park. Supun organised the safari for us and even came with us into the park. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to show us everything in detail. Highly recommended. The accommondation is very simple and does not offer much luxury. Getting there is an aventure. It is better to have Supun pick you up from the main road. In conclusion, we can say that the stay was a valuable experience and a beautiful part of our trip to Sri Lanka, as Supun gave us an insight to local life. We would choose the happy house again.

Exception place, I loved everything, nearest town is 12km away so some may find it quiet but for me it was perfect. The staff were great, and the chef was able to cater for 2 dietary requirements. Food portions are huge and room large and comfortable. Swimming pool warm and clean, just wear t-shirt or wet suit top if a lady to be respectful. It was an amazing experience

This hotel is absolutely fabulous, located in a spectacular location. The views are incredible.During our stay, we saw monkeys in the trees from our bedroom balcony. The staff provided a 5 star customer service experience. They really couldn't do enough for us. As for the food, wow, it was of such high standard, incredibly tasty, and such large portions! When we departed, unfortunately, our taxi, via pick me cancelled at the last minute. The hotel staff pulled out all the strings, providing us with alternative travel arrangements at such short notice when we had to travel 180 kilometres. A big thank you to all the team for this.
