I felt at home and everyone in the family is a friendly, accommodating and a warm host. I learned a few more words of Sinhala while I helped Damayanthie with the cooking or played UNO with their children. There is a river nearby where you can swim, so I went there with the 2 kids. It was a wonderful opportunity to see a giant squirrel close up. We took some fantastic photos. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. It was close to the sacred city. I learned to cook seven delicious Sri Lankan dishes during the cooking class. Highly recommended. .
