right on the pekoetrail for an easy start in the morning. Prosper the owner is a fellow trecker/fan of nepal so we spent the majority of the evening talking about trecking and other things. felt like I was couchsurfing even though it's on booking.

We really enjoyed our stay here, it felt like staying in a cozy home. After moving from hotel to hotel, it felt so nice to come into a warm and comfortable home with a cozy bed. And I liked that dinner and breakfast takes place at a big family table with other guests, once again it felt cozy. But above all, I have to give credit to the incredible service we received. I arrived with a very bad cold, slight fever, etc. Soon after we arrived and he saw I was sick, Madhavan came to our room with a steaming bowl with ginger and lime leaves and some ayurvedic medicine to help with my congestion. He repeated the same action twice more during our stay, and was so so kind, bringing me tea constantly, asking how I was, etc. All the employees at the hotel were above and beyond with their service and attention, and Madhavan's kindness with me will be remembered long after our trip. Oh - and they have a gorgeous swing in the garden where you can lounge about and read on. If you're tired of staying in impersonal hostals and are looking for a cozy stay in a big comfortable house, look no further :)

Wonderful place to stay. Staff was super friendly and welcoming(special thanks to Shyamali and Kasun for being so nice). Food was exceptional. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. View was amazing.

We had the most unforgettable stay at The Lavender House in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views all around—truly a piece of paradise. We were welcomed with a wonderful surprise: a room upgrade to what felt like a private, luxurious villa. The space was unbelievably spacious and beautifully designed, offering total comfort and privacy. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, the staff went above and beyond to make it special with lovely welcome snacks and a room decorated with such thoughtful detail—it meant so much to us. Our personal butler was exceptional—attentive, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was a scenic tour organized for us, and they even packed a delicious lunch box, which was such a considerate touch. Superb location, it has nice views of Puna ella waterfall and lokking over the kotmale reservoir. Can see the lower ramboda falls also. We were very satisfied with spacious room and the views it offered. Super relaxing spot. Food was good and they had a big SL food menu.They have very friendly staff.

The hotel is of course old, but the team is excellent - the rooms are renovated, the plumbing and bathroom are new and comfortable, there is hot water. The Windows overlook the road, but the view is of the mountains and greenery. The noise from the road is not audible if you close the windows. Breakfasts and dinners are super delicious. You can also order lunches. A wonderful woman cooks, you can warn about your preferences in advance - in general, all questions and wishes can be quickly and clearly resolved through Farvees (Operations Coordinator). The rooms are spacious, there is everything you need and an electric kettle and tea. Around the mountains, waterfalls and tea plantations factories, temples - we specially returned to these places after a trip to Noir Elia and Ella. The hotel itself has a lot of common comfortable spaces in the fresh air and under the roof - you can be alone or gather a company at the table, we used free billiards for guests. Special thanks to the Beautiful Shiva for an interesting and informative tour. The hotel has a good natural cosmetics and tea shop.

The location of the bungalow was so beautiful and romantic. We were literally up in the mountains, and everywhere you look, its nature surroundings you. A little coxy home away from home. Prosper, our host, is a very special person and really made...

Prosper, our host, is a very special person and really made this home stay very special. The view was spectacular and the tea factory tour was well worth a visit. It is an old plantation which still uses traditional methods. We had a free tour which included tea tasting and picking the leaves. You need to go out to eat so we went to Tea Bush Hotel which was about 2km away. We took Prosper too 😀
