Our stay at Leel's Cottage was nothing short of perfect! The cottage was charming & cozy, offering all the comforts of home in a tranquil setting. The garden's surroundings were peaceful, with stunning views that made every moment special. The hosts were warm and welcoming, ensuring that every detail was taken care of - Especially Leel's mom, will treat you like your own mom! We also loved the food and the thoughtful touches, like the fresh flowers. If you are also interested in Safari, look for no other! Leel, is a truly experienced guide and his eagle eyes will spot all kind of animals, birds & flowers. Overall it was the ideal getaway, and I can't wait to return to for another relaxing stay! We stayed for one night at Wild Lake Side Lodge to do two safaris in Uda Walawe NP. Milan is a wonderful host and made our stay very pleasant and memorable. We rented two of his three cabins which are spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped with aircon, hairdryer, water kettle for tea and coffee and a fridge. We enjoyed sitting on our private patio in the evening watching fireflies. Milan is very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. He also cooked us a delicious Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast with the best omelette on our trip. This is a truly beautiful little gem in a lush tropical garden.

Vimanra resort was an oasis of beauty, just outside of Udawalawe town. It is perhaps the nicest place our family of five has stayed in, made accessible by its reasonable prices. We really loved the huge family room, and the triple room was also well appointed. There are two big highlights to this property. The first is the host, who was very helpful in arranging a great safari and onward transportation for a reasonable price, and who added touches of luxury to the meals and rooms. The second is the wonderful property, with an infinity pool surrounded by trees where birds play, and looks out to the river beyond. The porch was the ideal spot to linger during a meal to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Our kids were disappointed that our stay wasn't longer! The rooms had everything we needed for a great sleep. The location away from the main road meant that it was peaceful and quiet, and we had no reason to go to town because we ate the delicious food at Vimanra. Highly recommended.

Wow definitely a slice of paradise in the jungle! We loved our stay in the 2 bed apartment, so spacious and comfortable and the pool was divine. Did a safari with Nandu which was excellent too, saw all of the animals and he took us away from the crowds. I would definitely stay here again!

A True Hidden Gem – Absolutely Worth Staying! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with incredibly warm hospitality. The owner and staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home – truly attentive and caring. My room was huge, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally clean. It had both air conditioning and a fan, ensuring comfort at all times. The bathroom was impressively spacious, and I even had a fridge – a very practical touch. The entire property is surrounded by a secure fence, offering a real sense of peace and safety, away from the hustle and bustle of traffic. It’s a quiet little haven where you can fully relax. The pool is absolutely stunning – perfect for a refreshing dip or lounging by the water. Both breakfast and meals were excellent, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. One of the best parts? You can even book a safari directly through the property, which is incredibly convenient. All in all, this place is a true haven of peace – I loved every moment and can’t recommend it enough. A stay here is truly worth it!

The Country Side Hotel at Uda Walawe is a very nice place...

The Country Side Hotel at Uda Walawe is a very nice place right off the main road. Rooms are spacious and clean, overlooking a ~10m long swimming pool within the trees. It is a very nice please to stay overnight before an early morning safari. Breakfast is excellent, as the warm staff members. Such a real pleasure that i stayed an extra day!

Very friendly staff gave a warm welcome. The welcome coffee was the best time of my life. Not only that, I was surprised because the pool was so clean and beautiful. And another best option is that my friends also went on safari with them so we organized the safari with them. The driver is very friendly and has 10 years of experience. Thank you for everything.

This place is one of my favorites in Sri Lanka! It was such a beautiful surprise! Calm area, very nice outdoor setting, the room was very spacious (as was the bathroom!) So let's talk details: - Food: Amazing! Home cooked food, with candlelight and the sounds of nature! - Safari: He was a very good company during my trip! He gave me some tips, was very flexible with my requests. - Helpfulness: Arranged a taxi to my next destination, Overall, it was totally worth it, you will really enjoy it! !

Where to start... We had a wonderful stay!

Where to start... We had a wonderful stay! Our host Ravidu is a very kind man, he welcomed me and my girlfriend into his family. We will forever be grateful for the special memories created there. His wife cooked us delicious traditional Sri Lankan food at night. Thank you very much ☺️ The bed is extremely comfortable and the room is spacious and very clean. It was nice to have a place to hang out on the terrace. There are many beautiful plants around the property that give it a jungle feel. We saw many tropical birds around. I 100% recommend booking a safari through Ravidu, he partners with a guide with many years of experience. The safari guide was knowledgeable about the animals and different species we saw on the safari. He was very respectful of the wildlife and drove slowly through the park unlike other jeeps..!!

The location of the cottage is fantastic, within walking...

The location of the cottage is fantastic, within walking distance to Udawalawe Handhi. The room is beautifully designed with huge glass windows to appreciate nature. Very clean. The host welcomed us warmly, and I must mention: this is where we had the best breakfast in Sri Lanka. It was provided to us for free.. Thank you!

We really enjoyed Ravidu Safari House!

We really enjoyed Ravidu Safari House! It is located about 5 minutes from the entrance of Udawalawe Park and is in a beautiful location among the trees. The manager Ravidu and his wife were very friendly and organized a wonderful safari for us to the park. We saw over 50 elephants and other animals, so we had a great time. Our room at the hotel was large, comfortable and very clean. We also had a lovely dinner at the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to do a safari in Udawalawe.

We do udawalawe national Park safari hotel arrange for everything Safari perfect and price very reasonable. We seen many elephants and many other animals. Unbelievable price. Actually wonderful stay at this lovely little hotel. When we arrived we were pleasantly welcomed by staff. This place is very close to udawalawa national park. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds and bathrooms. The next morning we were served delicious sri lankan breakfast. While our stay was short and it was very memorable. We watched elephant's and many of birds...Great value for money. Just a few minutes walk to the Elephant Orphanage,

Our family of four had a lovely stay at this property. The property is located in a quiet location with great balcony overlooking rice fields. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful - assisting with transport to and from the property and arranging a very enjoyable day safari to udawalawe National Park. We also enjoyed delicious Sri Lankan dinners plus a special breakfast with our hosts on Sinhalese New Year's Day.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. Gayan's mother prepared delicious food for us - really tasty. The hotel is also in an amazing location right next to the entrance to Udawalawe National Park. Gayan sorted a safari for us which was an amazing experience, with an extremely knowledgeable guide. We saw elephants, peafowl, crocodiles, a jackal, mongoose, and lots of interesting birds - recommend!
