Leels safari cottage, a pocket of paradise. we spontaneously booked our stay here for 2 nights in hopes to do a safari. We’ve been travelling Sri Lanka for over a month now and I can say this has been the nicest place we have stayed at. The pictures are exactly like the place which we were so pleased about, the room its self is beautiful, comfortable beds, beautiful layout and decoration with the blessing of air con and a fan. They also supply mosquito nets, this was the first place we weren’t bitten once! As for the bathroom it’s wonderful, full of plants with an rainforest vibe. It’s all so clean and well stocked with a kettle, wardrobe, shelf’s and great mirrors. The attention to detail is amazing you can tell a lot of love and hard work has been put into this place. The lighting is lovely giving it a cosy feel. We had breakfast included and added on dinner for both nights as the food was too good! Cooked by the loveliest ladies who do everything they can to make sure you’re happy. So much selection for both breakfast and dinner really yummy and enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to relax but also seek adventure. We woke up early one morning to go for a run, the area is lovely everybody smiles and says hello. and the views are really beautiful with thriving nature. We went to an elephant orphanage near by, luckily they know people for transport etc and Leel suggested this activity for us, we didn’t know about this place prior our visit! But so glad we went it was amazing! Our second day was Safari day, we were delighted that Leel himself is one of the greatest safari tour drivers, so we set off early in the morning and embarked on our safari around Udawalawe. I know it will be one of my favourite memories we are really grateful for Leel and his dedication to make sure we had the best time and see as many beautiful animals as possible! Beautiful place to stay, with amazing attention to detail, from the artwork to the homemade soap. The staff made us feel so welcome and the service was thoughtful and lovely, nothing was too much. Last minute organising a safari for us, which was amazing! Food was delicious and as good as the reviews we had read. Cannot recommend this place more and wish we had organised a longer stay here than the one night we stayed. They even gifted us some flowers for our stay! Also loved the dogs too.

This place is one of my favorites in Sri Lanka! It was such a beautiful surprise! Calm area, very nice outdoor setting, the room was very spacious (as was the bathroom!) So let's talk details: - Food: Amazing! Home cooked food, with candlelight and the sounds of nature! - Safari: He was a very good company during my trip! He gave me some tips, was very flexible with my requests. - Helpfulness: Arranged a taxi to my next destination, Overall, it was totally worth it, you will really enjoy it! !

Where to start... We had a wonderful stay!

Where to start... We had a wonderful stay! Our host Ravidu is a very kind man, he welcomed me and my girlfriend into his family. We will forever be grateful for the special memories created there. His wife cooked us delicious traditional Sri Lankan food at night. Thank you very much ☺️ The bed is extremely comfortable and the room is spacious and very clean. It was nice to have a place to hang out on the terrace. There are many beautiful plants around the property that give it a jungle feel. We saw many tropical birds around. I 100% recommend booking a safari through Ravidu, he partners with a guide with many years of experience. The safari guide was knowledgeable about the animals and different species we saw on the safari. He was very respectful of the wildlife and drove slowly through the park unlike other jeeps..!!

The location of the cottage is fantastic, within walking distance to Udawalawe Handhi. The room is beautifully designed with huge glass windows to appreciate nature. Very clean. The host welcomed us warmly, and I must mention: this is where we had the best breakfast in Sri Lanka. It was provided to us for free.. Thank you!

We really enjoyed Ravidu Safari House!

We really enjoyed Ravidu Safari House! It is located about 5 minutes from the entrance of Udawalawe Park and is in a beautiful location among the trees. The manager Ravidu and his wife were very friendly and organized a wonderful safari for us to the park. We saw over 50 elephants and other animals, so we had a great time. Our room at the hotel was large, comfortable and very clean. We also had a lovely dinner at the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to do a safari in Udawalawe.

The accommodation in this place has magical peace and quiet.

The accommodation in this place has magical peace and quiet. The cabin is clean, air conditioned. Our host in the main building prepared us excellent Sri Lankan food. He is a wonderful, smiling and funny man with a wonderful family. We decided to go on a safari, which he helped us organize. As promised, our guide spoke good English and was able to identify animals that we would not have seen on our own. We highly recommend this place!

This is a brand new hotel. Everything is sparking clean, the pool is one of the nicest I’ve ever used. The room had a balcony and a view on a field so in the morning, we watched the peacocks walking around. We loved that the room had a view of this field, we were just in the middle of the nature. The hotel is very close to the National Park. The staff is really nice and kind. I really recommend the hotel, it was one of our best stays in Sri Lanka.

The property was the perfect place to stay when visiting Udawalawe National Park. Everything was easily organised by Hashan and he was super accommodating and a friendly person. Hashan provided recommendations for other things to do in the area and drove us in his tuk tuk to the shops and ATM when needed. The room was huge with a great bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was more than enough and full of fresh Sri Lankan ingredients.

We travelled Sri Lanka for 4 weeks with our 1 year old baby. This Hotel was the best!!! Its such a nice property, with little kids playground, awesome dining area, awesome pool, nice staff and awesome rooms! It was like paradise! It was clean, food was awesome, had drinks and dinner every day! It is close to Udawalawe National Park and you can book the tour organised by the hotel without hesitation!
