Amazing place to stay as like us you looking to back to the origine where nature and clean environment is the main attraction. The small luxury hotel is extremely well organized and the bungalows distributed on the property in beautifull way with gardens, trees and front lake! We booked a bungalow with pool and it was amazing, super large, comfortable bed, living room, bathroom extra size!!! The Staff was amazing from Marc that received us and take care all the time, Gaya, Jewewan and Chef Swadth just to mentions the more closer to us in these days but all were super kind. We had a fantastic dinner for San Valentine that will remain in our memories forever. They arrange for us the visit to the Park and follow us there. All was over any best expectations and is HIGLY reccomended place to go to have unforgettable moments!!

We had a great time, the hotel is so beautiful, the room is clean and well furbished. Food was great, the staff extremely nice and excellent in supporting us with the activities (we only did the safari).

The Backwaters lodge has everything that a naturelover is looking for. We really had the best time here in the middle of nowhere close to the Wilpattu National Park. The staff is really helpfull and very friendly, the rooms are right into nature but still have the luxury of having warm water and AC, great and an extended breakfast and dinner, I can go on and on. If you want to go on a safari at Wilpattu they can arrange a private jeep for you (which is a must do ofcourse). Further to fill in your time you can just hang out at the beautifull chillspots on the ponds or in the jungle or you could go kayaking with the kayaks available at the lodge. We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the lodge a little more.

With lake views, The Coconut Experience Eco Lodge Wilpattu is situated in Nagamadu and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, snack bar, garden and terrace.

I loved how peaceful and immersed in Nature I felt. It was a real detox stay with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and the stay wouldn’t have been such a success without them. I particularly loved the rooms which were both spacious and modern with everything we needed. The outdoor shower was a particular highlight! I’d also recommend all the experiences which were super enjoyable and also informative.

I had a wonderful stay with Riswan and his family. They truly care about offering the best possible experience to their guests and sharing the beauty of their region. They even managed to organize a last-minute safari for me at a very reasonable price, especially considering how well the day went (great driver, breakfast + lunch included) – $50 for a half day, $95 for a full day. As for the wildlife, I was lucky not only in the park but also around the village where the guesthouse is located. It’s not uncommon to see one or even several elephants passing by – though of course, that’s up to Mother Nature! Overall, a fantastic experience. A big thank you to Riswan and his brother for their kindness and for taking the time to help me plan my route. Good to know: there’s a local bus that runs from the village to Puttalam for 150 LKR, 1h, starting around 7 AM, with connections to many other destinations from there.

We had a fantastic stay at the Leopard Inn, the manager Prathap was ever so friendly, a great guy, always smiling and willing to help. He organized a halfday safari in the National Park Wilpattu and later a boat safari in the lagune and in the mangroves of the Park, it was great. Prathap explained us about the animals and trees on the resort. If you ever in the area, stay at the Leopard Inn !

Very nice place, good welcome from the owner. Room with view and terrace, clean, quiet. I recommend ! Besides, the owner propose Kitesurf lesson. I learnt with him for 3 days, good teacher and kind !
