The place is 1 min walk from the famous Mount Lavinia beach with all the nice restaurants. It runs by a new team who are very attentive and willing to learn. Dasun and Yoshendra (the manager) made sure my stay is comfortable. The room has a new airco system and hot water. Bed was very comfortable and clean as well.

We had the pleasure of staying at Taprobane House Hotel for 26 days, and it truly felt like a second home. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel itself is peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained — a perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms are comfortable, the garden is lovely, and the atmosphere is calm and serene. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and we appreciated the genuine hospitality throughout our stay. Special thanks to Rashmi and the entire team for making our time in Sri Lanka so memorable. We left with full hearts and hope to return one day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tranquil and authentic experience.

We loved everything at Sheraton. The room was beautifully decorated to welcome us for our honeymoon. Thanks to the Front Office Manager and whole team. You made our stay memorable:-) The food was excellent. The spa beautiful decorated with professional therapist. Thanks to the young lady who took care of me. We enjoyed the roof top with great music and delicious cocktail. We are planning every year to renew our vows.

If I should come back to Colombo, I would stay here again in any case. The hotel shines with its cleanliness and is very professionally run. The room has everything and everything works perfectly. The staff was very friendly and supportive. I felt like I was in a 5-star hotel here. The closeness to the beach is brilliant. You can reach the ocean in just 2 minutes walking distance and have a beautiful beach for walking and swimming. On the other hand, you are not just in a touristic part of the city and have various local shopping facilities and restaurants right on your doorstep. The location is very quiet and the singing of the birds makes you feel like you're not in the big capital. The internet is very fast and working the whole time. The breakfast was very delicious.

When he found out that his usual taxi driver wasn’t available on the day of arrival, he personally went to the airport to pick up my manager. Beyond the exceptional hospitality, the accommodation itself is in a fantastic location—just a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach, making it ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy both business and relaxation. Watumulla is really close to the Ocean, the beach is...

Watumulla is really close to the Ocean, the beach is stunning, and the bars great. There is a dive School (October to May) just north and the Mount Lavinia does incredible buffet lunches. Nothing better than Sunday lunch tehre, and an afternoon in the sun by the pool. Its really fast into Colombo in a Tuk.
