Restful stay in a quiet room with a lovely balcony. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated having a desk and fast Wi-Fi, which made it easy to catch up on work. The restaurant downstairs was convenient and served a good breakfast. One thing to note: parking is available, but it's located on the side of a busy road, which might be a consideration for some guests. Overall, a pleasant and practical choice for both relaxation and productivity.

We really like this hotel; it is located in the center just next to river and palace. We could enjoy view from window on the river. Very good breakfast and service provided. There were no issues to left car on the parking after checking out. Nice and very helpful staff.

Always clean and tidy. Although I was the only one taking breakfast, there was plenty of different food.

We returned to Hotel Alba for a third stay, which means we absolutely love the cozy, attractive, very clean and quiet venue. Alba is a family owned small hotel close to the wide beach, four minute walk and a few minutes from public transportation. Best of all is that the family owned operation of the hotel, cute restaurant, bar and small store all located together provided us a week of happiness to visit our relatives in Jurmala. A bonus this time was very special live music to dine by in the restaurant.. we will return to Hotel Alba again on our next visit to Jurmala. Wayne and Lena O.

The food for breakfast and dinner was absolutely wonderful - just the right mix of the things that the soul of the Soviet Union-born person craves ) The sauna and the pool were very nice to have. Actually, that's a very nice place to do some swimming training - a lot of training activity was already happening here. So one can also hire a personal trainer and improve their swimming skills.

We booked the room already in the evening when we arrived at the place. Together we had a one-year-old daughter. We were greeted by a very kind and helpful administrator. Everything was fast and smooth. We got a comfortable room. Breakfast selection is good.

Ideal apartment for short break or a longer holiday. It was our first experience in getting an appointment rather than staying at the hotel. We loved how responsive the host was and how easy the check-in and check out was. The flat was spacious and super clean, with plenty of storage room. Everything that needed was provided, to name some: fresh fluffy soft towels, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, good size fridge & freezer, kitchen towel, giod size smart tv, etc. The kitchen was fully equipped. A powerful shower was one of the highlights. Spacious, comfy bed and extra pillows also available. Nice touch was that the coffee pods and coffee machine provided by the host for our use were complimentary. The weather was hot, but it was nice and cool in the flat. The location was perfect - central Jelgava (saying that - we were very surprised how quiet the flat was - no road noise whatsoever despite the close proximity to the main road, no noise from the neighbours also), pleasant walking distance to interesting spots, like Pasta sala, Trinity church tower museum, and the palace (Latvia University of Agriculture) with a mini museum, Academia Petrina with exquisite art collection from Latvian artists and Jelgava history museum. Top restaurants also nearby - Pilsētas Elpa, Parks grill and bar, Central cafe Jelgava, Istaba - good food and service (would recommend). All the other essentials, like groceries and drinks could be purchased at the corner shop 'Aibe' 2 min walk away from the flat (essentials only though - milk, bread, water, wine, sandwich fillers like ham and cheese - nothing fancy), supermarket Mego at the Jelgavas Passāža 7 min walk from the flat for a better selection of products, or a bit further walk away (approx 15 min) - Rimi (probably our favourite). Bolt food delivery service was also very convenient and didn't disappoint. The tired looking entrance to the building and the communal hall didn't put us off.
