We visited off season so it was nice and quiet with only a few guests in our hotel and Cape Kolka, nature trails, etc were not busy Since it is off season, it was difficult to get dinner as most restaurants and pubs were closed. Some only open on Thursday through Sunday. Better coordination among eateries would better serve tourists and maybe increase income.

Nice clean city.

Nice clean city. Not too much activites to do, but you can walk in forest or on the beach. A bit hitted by Covid, but still have some places to catch food. You can rent a boat to sail local river, or get a yaht to make a day or 2 day travel.

Roja is one of the pearls of the Baltic Sea coast with an ancient and interesting history. You should definitely visit the beach and pier. If there is a cultural event planned on the new stage, you should definitely try it. For intrigue: in many places in the city there are environmental art objects made of ceramics, wood, concrete, etc. - they are worth seeing!

Roja - one of the pearls of small towns in Kurzeme. I highly recommend it! Nice beach, pier, stage, market, cool people, and the sea, the sea, the sea. I recommend the hotel Rojas Pērle, and definitely breakfast at Mare bistro - pancakes like in childhood!!!

I liked the location of the hotel, close to the beach, beautiful surroundings, fresh air, everything was fine with the food, delicious and hearty breakfast, cozy atmosphere and polite service in the restaurant, delicious menu, I didn't like the noise in the hostel at night, people were drinking on the veranda until dawn, no one from the administration came to discipline me.

A lovely hotel! Would definitely like to come back again. The sea is a few minutes away by foot (!), the interior is very nice and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Extra kudos for the breakfast server girl - very attentive, profesional and kind. The surroundings of the hotel - wow! Greenery, trees, fresh air, calm, not crowded, shops closeby.
