Staying at Dunes Clave was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and cared for. Our host, Moha, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect—he is not only extremely hospitable but also very well-organized, which made our stay feel effortless and stress-free. The location itself is absolutely magical. Nestled far away from the noise and distractions, it feels like a hidden sanctuary in the desert—a little heaven where time slows down and all you hear is the calm silence of nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect, relax, and recharge. The food deserves a special mention. Without exaggeration, it was the best food we had in all of Morocco. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with such care that dining became an experience in itself. Sharing meals here felt authentic and warm, making us feel at home even while being so far away. What stood out most was how relaxing everything felt. Whether it was sitting under the stars, enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings, or simply having tea in peace, every moment at Dunes Clave was pure serenity. If you’re looking for a place that combines outstanding hospitality, unforgettable food, and an idyllic location far from the crowds, then Dunes Clave is the perfect choice. I can’t recommend it enough—it’s not just a stay, it’s an experience that will stay with you long after you leave.

The location is great. Just walk 10 minutes across the road and you will enter the desert. The owner offered a very reasonable price for us to ride camels into the desert to watch the sunset and enjoy the golden desert. It was beautiful. We also took the Merzouga 4X4 tour to enjoy the black desert, Berber villages, and African music.

The camp is in the middle of the desert, totally quiet (except some occasional noise from Quads). The host is very friendly, everything very well organised, the camp is simple, but everything clean. Food was delicious! We stayed 2 nights and made a 2.5 hrs camel trip on the second day, all the sand, the quietness and the slow pace felt fantastic! For everyone who can do without running water (toilet is available and also facility for brushing teeth and washing hands, etc..) and entertainment for a while I suggest to stay more than one night to get a better feeling. The costs for meals and camels add up a bit, but it was worth it completely. We definitely will go again when we visit Marocco next time.

For middle of nowhere, it was a great accommodations, very good dinner and breakfast and service, very friendly staff, very organized from the pick up , all the activities to drop off. Magical experience, highly recommended. Highlights are camel ride, dance with locals around the fire and enjoy a majestic sky full of stars before sleep. Camel rid is about 1 hour including 2 stops for pictures and see the sunset , we came back with car ride as it is faster and new experience when he drive the car (something like Jeep) in sand is nice up and down drive.

A Dream Stay at Aurum Dunes Luxury Camp! I recently had the most unforgettable experience at Aurum Dunes Luxury Camp in Merzouga, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was beyond exceptional—the staff welcomed us like family, offering traditional Moroccan tea as we took in the breathtaking views of the golden dunes. The tents were pure luxury—spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with all the amenities you’d expect from a high-end retreat. Waking up to the sunrise over the dunes was truly magical, and the tranquility of the desert made it feel like a dream. But the highlight of our stay? The off-road ITV adventure! Riding across the dunes in a powerful buggy was an absolute adrenaline rush. The guide was experienced and ensured we had a thrilling yet safe ride, making it one of the best experiences of my life! Evenings at the camp were just as special—delicious traditional food, live Berber music under the stars, and a cozy campfire where we shared stories with fellow travelers. Everything about Aurum Dunes felt authentic, warm, and incredibly well-organized. If you’re looking for a perfect mix of luxury, adventure, and true Moroccan hospitality, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was an amazing experience. Mohammed is incredibly helpful, quick to respond, and enthusiastic about making sure his customers are happy. Regards, Mohammed. A truck is available to take you to meet the camels, and the sunset camel ride is breathtaking. The meeting spot is also extremely pleasant, with a safe parking area. The tents are fantastic, the food is delicious, the campsite is lovely, and everyone is really kind. After supper there's a lively and cheerful fire and music. The stars, the stars, wonderful. The sunrise is visible from the campsite itself. Just outside my tent, after morning, I practiced yoga on the carpet! Our favorite meal in Morocco was breakfast. I really suggest this camp for your journey to the Sahara.
