Just a 30-minute train ride from Podgorica to Virpazar, followed by a 15–20 minute walk — and you’re there. You can easily walk to Virpazar for restaurants, and if you need something urgently, there’s a gas station with a mini-market just minutes away. But the real magic begins once you arrive. Total silence. No traffic, no tourists — just nature and you. Birds singing, swallows flying overhead, turtles strolling through the grass, dragonflies buzzing, and mountain air so fresh it makes your head spin in the best way. The cottage itself is a dream. Everything is thoughtfully curated and made with care — nothing “just for show,” but rather warm, cozy, and full of charm. Beautiful dishes, lovely decor, and even multi-point lighting that’s been designed to the smallest detail. It’s an eco-friendly house with stylish wooden furniture made from real logs — think “modern forest cottage” rather than “old ranger’s hut.” Traveling with a dog, like I was? There’s a dog bed and bowls. Coming with a baby? There’s a crib and a baby bath. Every need has been anticipated. Outside, there’s a private terrace, a barbecue area, and an unforgettable view. To welcome us, a bottle of homemade rakija and cold beers waited in the fridge. Later, the host Ivan brought us his own homemade wine — and it was amazing! Ivan was always available, checking in to make sure we were comfortable. He also offers boat rides, kayaking on Lake Skadar, and can organize breakfast if you’d like. This is a place where time slows down, where local hospitality shines, and where you don’t have to sacrifice a single bit of comfort. Trust me — you won’t find anything like this, at this price, anywhere else in Montenegro… or maybe even in all of Europe.

Amazing setting, beautiful surroundings, very modern, clean apartment. But the icing on the cake was the SALT water swimming pool. Amazing. Milo set us up with a sunrise Boat trip on the lake, best experience ever. The lady V that worked there was so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

This is absolutely the best place you can stay if you want to visit Skadar lake. Apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the owners are amazing people, I felt like home. They picked me up from the station and even showed me around. It's great in case you don't have a car too, because it's right in the lake. I also recommend both the tour around the lake and the homemade dinner they offer, it was amazing fish! Honestly the best place you can choose in Virpazar.

Stephan welcomed us super nicely, with a huge smile and was available for any question. They offer boat tours as well as breakfast and dinner that are surprisingly cheap and yummy 😋 The apartment was clean, and had a cool kitchen and a private washing machine.
