Staff was extremly friendly, helpful and accomodating Breakfast was superb with a spectacular view. Our room was spacious, clean and the large terrace offered fantastic views over the island. Room service twice daily was very pleasant. In summary, one of the best hotels we've been to for a while.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Hward House exceeded all expectations — elegant design, spotless rooms, and a truly welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was delicious with fresh local products and great coffee. The location is perfect — peaceful, yet close to everything you might need. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for comfort and style!

Our stay at the hotel was very nice and pleasant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast is very good and there is enough choice of food. The pool and sauna are neat and have a nice atmosphere. The outdoor pool is nice to enjoy in the sun. Shivam was friendly and ready to help.

I never write review, and I just had to after staying here. The value for money was just truly amazing. The hotel was flawless. The staff was amazing. The bed was comfortable, the cleaners were very on top of everything too. The room was very spacious. Bathroom was big as well. We added breakfast for our stay. It was lovely. Fruit, egg, yogurts, pancakes, waffles, pastries, cheese, meats, etc. I will say though, it's basically the same everyday. There were lots of options and it was fresh, but towards the end we were tired of the breakfast. The restaurant was lovely for lunch and dinner. The caesar salad was chefs kiss. The cocktails and drinks were also nice. We really liked the area of the hotel. We've never been to malta before, so when we walked into st.julians town center we were so glad we picked this hotel, because in the town center everything was so loud and chaotic. The hotel was a short walk away from all the chaos and we loved that.

Such a beautiful city with amazing buildings within the...

Such a beautiful city with amazing buildings within the medieval old capitol. It's busy with tourists during the day and would highly recommend returning in the evening when it's so eerily quiet, but amazing. We ate in a rooftop restaurant, The Knights Kitchen so we could see the amazing sunset over Mdina. There are horse and carts to take you around, but we walked and enjoyed the tiny alleyways. Stunning city

We visited on a Sunday which felt very special.

We visited on a Sunday which felt very special. We were able to wander round and barely see anyone else, truly a step back in time. We ate at Coogis in the evening , which was delicious and thoroughly recommend. A treat to visit the town when so quiet

A delightful small, quiet city....it was nice to stay within...

A delightful small, quiet city....it was nice to stay within the walls of the city for the nighttime experience. It became the silent city. not a lot to see, but what is there was interesting. Rabat is literally a short walk across a pedestrian friendly bridge with lots of activity. Certainly Mdina is worth a visit.

Madima is a 16th-century fortress city, and they've done their best to preserve it as it was. It's very well maintained and very clean. My recommendation is to rent a car and explore the island; everything is about a 20-minute drive away.

A very pretty medieval town. Interesting sights. Note that for stays longer than two days, renting a car or taking a taxi is essential to get to Valletta and other sites on the island. Public transport is inconvenient.

A superb and well-preserved ensemble (Mdina + Rabat) not to be missed (a priority if you are only visiting Malta for 3/4 days) and the bus terminal allows you to easily travel to different sites on the island of Malta.

there was a bus stop just outside of the accommodation, which was amazing since we had a lot of things planned outside of Mdina. the room in itself was big, with mini fridge, tv, iron, hairdryer and a terrace which was just lovely. Anita was simply amazing, very nice and helpful at all times, I couldn’t thank her enough for everything.

A well situated and comfortable house. It was nicely appointed and a good size for a family of three. Parking is available (we recommend Mdina Ditch but the walk up the hill is savage) at no cost. The city itself is a delight and the medieval charm is complemented by a number of nice restaurants and tea rooms.

In this hotel they served an a la carte breakfast. The breakfast itself was fine, how could it be otherwise when they serve it in their star restaurant, although it wasn't great. For us the service was too formal, not genuinely hospitable and we had a hassle about paying for breakfast.

This was an amazing place to stay from the incredible staff to the wonderful breakfast and the views from the terrace. Loved every second and would be back there in a heart beat! Plus the location is perfect for exploring Mdina and Rabat - both within minutes of the front door.

Great location, beautiful boutique hotel with fantastic staff who catered to every request. We went to The Lumiere restaurant upstairs for both breakfast and dinner and both were superb. Highly recommend and when we visit Malta again we will be staying here again. 10/10.
