Located on a dead end street this new hotel is in Paceville (St Julian) near all the hustle and bustle but also close to the main road which connects St Julian to Valetta. Easy to be accessed and to be departed by car/taxi/foot. In a walking distance there're plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. We were upgraded to a room with balcony which was very clean and comfortable and had a great soundproofing. The king size bed & the pillows were very comfortable for us. The 40" flat smart tv including YouTube & Netflix streamed perfectly. Minifridge, safe, kettle and expresso machine are available in the minibar. There're plenty of plugs (UK type) including USB A and USB C near the bed. Excellent breakfast with a lot of options to choose from. During the day & evenings the breakfast area becomes Jumu restaurant which we definitely recommend especially in case you arrive late for check-in (good selection of Maltese and international vines and excellent service). Indoor spa area was very clean and well maintained includes a finish sauna, a 4 persons jacuzzi and a ~15 m/5 m indoor heated pool which is opened round the clock. A decent sized gym is also available in the same spa dedicated area. On the rooftop there's a second ~20m/7 m pool also heated with a great view over St Julian's downtown. The parking available in hotel's underground was great to leave our rented car since since around the hotel the parking places are limited.

The staff was very kind and friendly – especially the gentlemen who served breakfast. The hotel was clean, smelled nice, and the room was cleaned daily with fresh bed linen and towels replaced. The breakfasts were delicious with a wide selection.

Staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay, making our stay truly enjoyable. Room was spotless and comfortable, food was excellent, hotel itself was very clean and overall everything was top notch! I'm in love with this hotel and I really really highly recommend it! The most amazing staff we have ever experienced, it was my partner’s birthday and they welcomed us with a Prosecco bottle, sweets and even an upgrade on the room, we were really pleasantly shocked as we didn’t expect any of that. The room was neat, clean and really spacious. Even on his birthday all the staff knew and congratulated him that made his birthday even more special. I want to say special thank you to public relations manager Katarina (I’m sorry if I didn’t pronounce it correct) and Amrit and Rahul from the beach club. Malta is our favorite country this far we have visited and that is thanks to the hospitality and great care from your staff.

I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Marriott Malta. The service was impeccable, everything was spotlessly clean, and the amenities were top-notch. The room had a stunning view and a small but cozy balcony – perfect for a morning coffee. Like most of Malta St Julian's is under significant...

Like most of Malta St Julian's is under significant redevelopment. We did not feel that the developments under construction fitted with either the traditional buildings of Malta or St Julian's and a lot of character has been lost. Whilst the current development does not impact on your stay at the hotel, the development of Malta as a Country has to be taken in to consideration when you choose Malta as a holiday destination. I personally believe that the chosen path creates a great destination for the younger generations but not so much for the older generations.

Nice place to stay and visit.

Nice place to stay and visit. As a person who does not like partying, I should have at least done an in depth research about the place because it was noisy at night especially with cars honking and revving and drunk people shouting. However, I still love it. I like the atmosphere and the ambience compared to other parts of Malta.

We've been coming here for around 25yrs, because we have family, and a lot of friends of all nationalities. From St Julian's to St Georges is loosing its charm due to over development...A Shame.

The promenade is the biggest pull, as straight away you feel...

The promenade is the biggest pull, as straight away you feel that you are part of the flow. It lends itself to jogging, taking in the sea views, feeling like you are relaxing. Spinola bay attracts events by the sea. There are a variety of restaurants, amenities, beaches, bus stops. It's a commercial hub.

St. Julian’s is a very lively area, full of restaurants, bars, and nightlife, and it’s well served by public transport. However, it really depends on what you’re looking for. In our case, it turned out to be the wrong choice — too many people, heavy traffic, and quite a lot of noise, with limited access to the sea.

I assume its a good place if you are single and you want to...

I assume its a good place if you are single and you want to party and meet new people. For everybody else its a shallow place with nothing there to see, way too crowded during the night in high season with people that are half dressed, drunk and very vocal. During the day the smell is horrendous in some areas from last night's parties because of the trash and the vomit. The best thing about St. Julien's is that its close to other way more interesting locations.

Lovely friendly staff, super helpful with any questions about travel around Malta. Beautiful views, fantastic buffet breakfast with lots of cooked and cold choices. We loved our room and stay. Great location for getting around Malta with easy bus links a few minutes from hotel. Hotel up a side street so quietly tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We will definitely return.

Very clean hotel in the heart of Paceville. A few steps away is a bus stop connecting with Valletta and other places in Malta. The staff is helpful and Martin a great host! Good value for money.
