The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was amazing every single day — fresh, beautifully prepared, and with so many delicious options. What made our stay even more special were the surprises the resort prepared for our honeymoon. From thoughtful little touches to beautifully arranged moments just for us, we felt celebrated throughout our entire stay. It was romantic, relaxing, and absolutely perfect. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to start our new chapter together. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a magical and memorable experience.

Lovely location close to the beach. We had a ground floor garden room which felt secluded and quiet. The added convenience of leaving front or back was great. The meals were amazing - buffet breakfast very extensive. Lunch at Infinity Blue super, the chicken Caesar salad was sooo lovely, had it a couple of times. Staff very attentive, 3 or 4 especially impressive. Pools lovely, although the children’s pool had the best view of beach and sunset.

Breathtaking views. Magnificent chalet (no 2). Beautiful surroundings. Visit the lovely Ebony Forest, which has hikes at various levels. The most challenging and rewarding is to the top of Piton du Cabot. There are ropes to help you to the top (= steep). Also drive to the far north end of Le Morne public beach for beautiful swimming. There is shade under the pine trees.

There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel...

There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel complex. There are also not really restaurants except those in the hotel complex. You are much better with a car. However the hotel complex is huge with plenty of facilities so you can easily stay at the complex for a few days if you don’t have a car/don’t want to go exploring.

the beach was lovely although a smokers & non smokers area is a nice option i would had prefered ... as i am a non smoker... the cleanliness and location was wonderful & gorgeous ! food options for buffet was good however the room service options ought to have more choice for dietry and enjoyment! entertainment was good and fun... also the water sports option was ideal ! kind welcoming staff who were sweet hosts! thankyou!

Excellent location in an area that boasts greenery and...

Excellent location in an area that boasts greenery and nature at its best. Tamassa Bel Ombre is located next to two golf courses, a natural reserve and barely minutes away from other landmarks in Mauritius (south). Roads are safe - so it's easy to drive around but if you are after a complete relaxing holiday, venturing out of Tamassa is purely an extra then. The resort is fully equipped and offers a great opportunity for swimming, snorkeling, para-kiting in a well protected and clean bay.

I stayed here with my 3 kids, the kids club looked great...

I stayed here with my 3 kids, the kids club looked great although we didn't use it. We stayed for 3 nights and that was enough for us to break the city routine of our everyday life. Krishna from the concierge organised a fun day out to Chamarelle where we saw the 7 sand earth, giant turtles and the magnificent waterfall. We ended the day at Curious Corner which the kids (and I loved).

The area is quite simple but with a local character.

The area is quite simple but with a local character. If you are looking for an authentic experience you will like it. We mostly cooked ourselves in the apartment and had dinner twice in a nearby cafe/restaurant. The facilities were simple but the fish dishes exceeded our expectations. You need a car to get around comfortably.

For the Family:

For the Family: My kids had an amazing time in the Activity centre with Kursley and Kingsley playing football ,volleyball and other sports. Bamboo fishing was also another activity which my kids enjoyed a lot. Staff were friendly and very professional. For the Adults: Great selection of restaurants & bars and activities. Wonderful staff.

Its a beautiful and elegant hotel, while still being child friendly and relaxed. The choices for food were amazing- and I would definitely get the Gourmet Bliss option which is all inclusive at both Heritage hotels. The Timomo Kids club was also amazing and kept the little one occupied and happy throughout most of the days.

The location of the hotel is amazing, everything is clean, spacious. The food is great, the chef came and asked us at the diet what we like to eat and it felt right at home. The room is very large and cozy. The hotel and the staff were great.

The hotel fully met our expectations. Excellent location, friendly staff, very good food. If we were to visit Mauritius again, we would definitely stay here
