The hotel does not occupy very big territory, however there are lots of space on the beach, you can choose either surrounding with the palms or the white sand. The sand is very soft like a powder and not hot. Kayaks, paddles, catamarans, water ski, etc - all are free of charge. Great experience was to try water ski! There is cold refreshing water on the beach during the day free of charge. Beach towels are soft and new. The ebb and flow of water in the ocean was not significant during our stay, you can easily swim during the day. Seaside is perfect with soft sand, no stones, no fish, good for kids. The room is very big, we had 2 rooms and got free of charge upgrade for the ocean view. The personnel is really very kind, very kind. Always ready to help and solve any problem. At the end of our stay we were presented with the bottle of champagne from the manager. There is consierge service, they can book any restaurant, excursions, taxi, etc. There is a big library in the hotel, very nice massages and body treatment, free of charge sauna, hammam and gym. Although giving good humidity, hammam looks a bit out of date. Every evening there are wisdom affirmations near the bed, I collect all of them and took with me. The hotel and the rooms are in colonial style, although looking fresh, very nice towels and bed linens. Very clean all around. There are no restaurants outside the hotel, therefore if you eat 3 times per day it’s better to order HB/all-inclusive at once. Food was good, combination of Asian and European cuisine, wide selection of fruits, pan cakes, gems, eggs, etc, although being enough I cannot say there were a lot of vegetables. The location of the hotel is quite far from other attractions, we had a boat tour to the nearest waterfall, dolphins and monkeys and it was great. The weather in May was not stable, one day was all raining, others not hot but very comfortable, rains are very short and mostly at night. Water in the ocean was perfect.

Large selection of everything. They had local fruits and vegetables, water melons. We had all inclusive and we don't drink alcohol, so they prepared freshly squeezed fruit juices for us. Delicious cakes. We are vegetarians so they made special chocolate moose for us without gelatine. Windsurfing for free and kite surfing center in front of the hotel.

Everything was amazing especially staff of the resort. They were really helpful and we enjoyed our holiday so much. Gym was really well equipped and breakfast was delicious. Smaller type of resort with big history (but really modern, remodeled in 2018) and for us much better than big concrete tourist resorts.

I loved the service from the staff the most.

I loved the service from the staff the most. They were smiley, polite, genuinely helpful and represented not only the hotel but also the warmth of Mauritian hospitality. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The restaurants, bars, pools, beach and reception all close to each other. The West side of the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. A perfect place for the spa and massage rooms. The Asian restaurant was a la carte and terrific.The main restaurant had a great selection of food for all tastes. The hotel was perfect for guests who love kite surfing, learners and experienced. The snorkelling trip from the glass bottom boat was outstanding, the best we have seen in Mauritius. Lots of tropical fish, all sorts of colours and the fish were big. RS1,000 very well spent. This is a hotel I will return to for certain.

Horrible experience trying to book the complimentary boat...

Horrible experience trying to book the complimentary boat for snorkelling. Your guest relations team says to check in the morning since the boat club has closed. They should be able to access & make reservations 24 * 7 - Simply unacceptable answer. If the boat is full, get another boat to make the guests happy: it costs very little. We ended up renting a boat for 5,000 MUR & had a great time. The resort is too large for personalized service.

Everything. Staff outstanding. Organisation of the whole resort - fantastic. Attention to detail . Atmosphere throughout. Level of service and always with a smile. High standard of accommodation. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

A very nice place to stay right on the beach.

A very nice place to stay right on the beach. Had half board the food was good. The place was clean and the staff were very friendly. Tours were reasonable priced. Hotel was a very affordable and good value for money.

Belle Mare is a quieter resort as most of the coastline are...

Belle Mare is a quieter resort as most of the coastline are hotels and a golf course without much else. So if you are looking for a resort with facilities ie shops / bars & restaurants outside of your hotel there isn't much within walking distance there is hardly anything. If you have a car Flacq is a 15 min drive away with the Market and Supermarket. The beach is quiet and beautiful.

Great people great hotel great place for pictures… Wake up for sunrise and go for a nice walk and spend time out with yourself I have my brother came from brazil and myself from australia .
