The appartement/studio is completely new and is situated in the north of La Gaulette. This is the perfect spot for a lot of advetures in the south of Mauritius. The appartement owner was available whenever we needed something. It was super clean, spacious, and we would definitely book again. The kitchen is fully equipped so its easy to cook yourself. Air conditioning is good.

From the booking to the day we checked in everything was nicely handled. The host has been very helpful in guiding us through the process. The apartment is simply wonderful, well equipped and very clean. We literally didn't lack anything. And it is perfectly located which made it easier to get to the nearby facilities. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.

The owner is a lovely lady who made my stay very easy and pleasant. She arranged for my pick up and drop off, she checked regularly on me and helped me with recommendations when I had questions about the area and my stay. In addition, she was quite lovely and we ended up having a nice chat a couple of nights, which as a woman travelling alone I found super nice. The terrace of the property was also one of the best parts. Allowed for nice breakfasts with an incredible view and the sound of birds. I hope I can return!

Everything! We enjoyed the space in the house, it's nicely equipped, and close to La Gaulette town centre (restaurants and supermarket). We loved all of our excursions around Le Morne! Must see places when you go to Mauritius. And above all, Avish is a genuinely friendly host who's caring and here to help, such as arranging a boat trip.. He's of a great advice!

Fantastic view to the see and Le Morne. We stay at the top of the building. The terrace are gorgeous and the flat with a good kitchen is big and bathroom as well. Is not on the beach for swimming but for boats and kayaks. The sunset is a dream. Good parking inside the plot. Alexandro was very kind with us and help with the luggage.

Thank you very much. You immediately feel very well looked after and the host supports you wherever he can. Super fast and easy communication and you are very flexible with your times. The apartment is very well located and you can reach all the southern points of the island perfectly. I have rarely seen such a kind-hearted person, even though we were only there for one night. I liked the Cleanliness and the good organisation of the property. I liked the fact that the property was not on the main Road so there were less traffic noise caused by bus ect. Safe place with the very kind tenants living on the ground floor. Electric fence around the garden. Everything was well explained about the overall good running of the property. It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.

La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly.

La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly. Le Morne (which is very close) is the only place nearby with a nice beach, but it is widely occupied by luxury hotels. another problem with La Gaulette is that it is not usable as a base for visiting Mauritius, becasue is far away from all main attractions except 7 color earth and Black River falls.

An ideal place to visit La Morne and surrounding areas without the crowds. Nearby supermarket for groceries and restaurants. We had a car which made travelling around easier and i would reccommend getting one when coming to Mauritius as you see so much more

Close to Le Morne and other attractions and places worth visiting, 90 min drive to Port Louis. Island is a paradise for botanical enthusiasts, hikers, climbers, fans of all sorts of water sports and beautiful reef fish, encounters with whales, dolphins etc.very friendly lovely locals and I felt very safe at all times, safer than in European many places. Please do book with local people, not all inclusive international resorts without local feel.

The clear water at the beach was exelent. The clearest seewater I have seen on the hole island! The surounding with the mountains are great. The beach is clean. No waist is liing around. Kite surfing ist also the place to be! Restaurant Chalets Chamarel has a great view. Hard to find. Food to expensive and not good!!

not a typical tourist destination. However, great spot for trips and quiet place to chill before trips around the island - which is pretty easy to travel around. Great choice for families and backpackers like myself

I would recomand this accomodation for 100%. We were here 2x and I would always choose the same. Villa is in La Gaulette, which has everyhthing close - shops, perfect beaches, Crystal Rock, La Morne, style and good restaurants, Chamarel, Ebony forest.. Villa has large bathrooms, cosy king beds. Nice pool, lots of private. We asked for breakfasts - they were sooo delicious. It was very difficult to leave that place.
