We had the most wonderful stay and we can't praise it enough! Jessica, the owner, greeted us with the warmest welcome, making us feel like old friends. The apartment was spotlessly clean, it had a nice shower and the bed was good - simply amazing! What truly enchanted us was the charming ambiance of the apartment, named Africa. It felt like a cozy haven, and we instantly felt relaxed. The breakfast, though not extravagant, was just what we needed to start our day. Plus, the symphony of birdsongs in the surrounding area was a delightful bonus. Location-wise, it couldn't be more perfect. It's smack in the center of all, and the beach is just a stone's throw away. Jessica was an absolute gem, providing us with fantastic tips and recommendations for exploring the beautiful Mauritius island. In summary, if you're in search of a spot in this area, look no further. Jessica's hospitality will make your stay truly memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Breakfast was adequate. The standard of accommodation was of high quality and very clean. The location was very peaceful and quiet. It would have been excellent if closer to the sea. La Koquillishe is located between two excellent restaurants : La Case a Poisson and Tino's which have incredible food for reasonable prices. Not to be missed. Also, La Koquillishe has a taxi service which is extremely efficient and correctly priced. Ask for Patrick.

A bit beaten town, lots of drunks and abandoned houses. There are some nice restaurants around (Chez Tino, Green Island Beach Restaurant) and places to visit (Île aux Cerfs, GRSE waterfall), but overall not to stay for too long.

The village is charming, easy to go on the boat to other...

The village is charming, easy to go on the boat to other islands. I recommend a visit to Ile aux Cerf, you can relax or do some sport e.g waterski, swimming. By boat to GRSE Waterfall. Take a BBQ lunch to one of the other island there.

It was absolutely amazing! Perfect beach and location. Friendly and helpful host. Sadesh the restaurant owner, 2min walk from our stay was awesome, great food and very friendly and accommodating. Maybe an extra bathroom would have been nice.

It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life. A few minutes bus ride is the unspoilt beach at Palmar. It is the best beach we have seen on the island. The reef is close to shore and the water is crystal clear.

We were warmly greeted upon arrival, the owner is very helpful and doing his best to make a comfy stay for everybody. The hotel was quiet and a bit hidden from the centre of the town. Kitchen and toilet in the room, also a balcony and AC.We've requested early check in and we could do it. Also the owner helped us with getting the best price for catamaran tour and it was perfectly organised. We highly recommend this stay and would choose it again.

The size of the hotel is perfect … not too small but not to big either. Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere. When we were there the weather was very windy and cloudy … the wind may get very strong and hard to stand for many hours. The hotel has no beach. There is a public one within walking distance.

La Koquillishe. It is what anyone really needs in a hotel stay, a clean comfortable safe place to sleep. What the property lacks in star rating is more than made up in the warm welcoming hospitality the sisters and staff gave to us during our stay. We appreciated everything you all did for us
