The cabins were amazing and really comfortable! They are spacious, clean, and well equipped. The bed is comfy and the net does protect you from any mosquitoes which might have gotten into the room, although I didn’t see any inside (there were many outside, but repellent kept them at bay). The staff was friendly and ready to help, and they lent us beach chairs and an umbrella to use at the beach. The pool was slightly cold, but still quite pleasant and clean! The Wi-Fi works perfectly well for working remotely, and there are sufficient power outlets inside and outside the cabins. On the TV there is Netflix and other streaming platforms. There is also a temazcal (traditional sauna) which works on scheduled days and can seat large groups. There is no kitchen inside the cabins, but there is a fridge to keep food fresh, and there is a shared kitchenette with an electric stove, near the site’s entrance, and the staff can lend you a pan to cook a quick meal. Hot coffee is prepared and served for free twice a day. There is sufficient, safe, and convenient parking space for all guests, and the staff lends you a little trolley so your luggage can be carried around easily to your cabin without getting soiled with sand. I would definitely recommend it to any traveller, and I will surely come back with my family one day! The property has one pet-friendly cabin only, so if you are coming with your pet it’s worth booking and letting them know in advance.

Arenas del Mar Condos is a wonderful place to stay, it has everything needed to rest and relax. The kitchen has many utensils to cook. The bed is very comfortable, I loved the restroom. The patio is a nice place to relax. Sofas are very comfortable too. It's very close to the beach which we loved! It's easy to find a place to have breakfast and dinner and there are minimarkets around. Staff is super nice and always willing to help.

Our stay at Puerto del Cielo was one of those experiences that stay with you. We stayed in an apartment with a balcony and outdoor bathtub, perfectly positioned right on the beach — the sound of the sea is constant, soothing, and unforgettable. The owners, Randy and Gill, are exceptionally attentive hosts. They always go the extra mile and offer help in any situation — in our case, they kindly assisted during a brief health issue, which we appreciated deeply. Their warmth and genuine care make this place truly special. The breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared and full of flavor. The whole setting is all about blending completely with nature — you’ll see lizards walking across the terrace, feel the sea breeze, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the surroundings. Don’t come here having five-star ultimate luxury demands — come for something far more valuable: authenticity, calm, and a feeling of being exactly where you belong.

Chelem is a quiet fishing village with a huge expat community, mainly Canadians and Americans. All the typical services are located in town like restaurants, gas station, convenience stores, pharmacies, grocery store, etc. The beaches are not crowded which is great! Easy drive to Progreso or Merida. Nice place to relax by the seaside.

Easy small beach town to navigate. The people we met were friendly. There quite a few small family restaurants available, and one awesome cafe (Costal Cafe). If you are a seafood lover, this is the place.

Crowds free beaches, clear water.

Crowds free beaches, clear water. We loved the beach and the village, though there is not much of a night life in Chelem. If you are looking for night bars and crowds Progreso would be a better choice. But if you are looking for romantic beaches and small family run restaurants Chelem is your holiday destination. I recomend the accomodation of El Paraiso de Capitan Fernando for the clean pool and beach front area and very very kind hosts Daniele and Yahiara

Murial, was a wonderful and very helpful host. The 2 bedroom apartment was very nice, clean, modern and quiet. The beach is very nice and beautiful. The pool is nice. The entire experience was perfect. Would strongly recommend yjis place. Chelem is safe and a wonderful place. It's not the busy hustle of other places.

This was absolutely the best place we stayed in during our trip to Yucatan. The apartment looks amazing and the equipment is great. There is everything you need. The pool area is great and there is a nice beach right in front of the building. The owner is very helpfull. Plus Chelem is a really nice place to visit.

Location on the beach is excellent, very quiet. The people in Chelem were very friendly. Enjoyed the pool. Slept well every night. Air conditioning kept us comfortable at night. Angie was very nice and attentive, working to fix the minor issues that came up. The porch facing the ocean is the best.
