A wonderful city, just like all resort towns. It is located in a bay, so you get a view of the city from almost any point. The streets are filled with souvenir shops and places where you can taste tequila. The waterfront is well-maintained, with a beautiful pedestrian area that’s perfect for a walk. We went with family so we had a good experience But don’t go in August it’s too hot and humid and lots of storms . The power went out twice. The mosquitos ate us alive . The food was ok . A lovely boardwalk with lots of interesting art, shops and restaurants. Very safe. Good to do day trips to the beaches only accessible by boat. Sea is quite rough and not many people were swimming. Staying in Zona Romantica is a lovely area if you like night life. Make sure you walk to the Malecon as the historic town area is beautiful. If you're vegan/vegetarian, PV has so many lovely restaurants and you will have a great time eating at them all!
