Outstanding service and beautiful setting. We are so glad we stayed in Milam Tulum, a dreamy newest property in the area of La Veleta, a must see trendy hotspot for those that want to experience the holistic side all in a unique luxurious ambient. It's modern style with wide open spaces invites for the senses to relax and simple enjoy as you let the friendly staff take care of every single detail, special thanks to our Concierge Aranza who recommended and arranged for us a lovely itinerary to the Mayan Ruins of Tulum and Coba and also a private shuttle service from and to the Cancun airport directly . Our first visit will surely not be the last, we are already planning and looking forward to our return.

Bardo is… unique… When arriving at night, at the front desk, we could already feel that the atmosphere was different then other places we’ve been too. At the very first step you make your way to your room, you know that you are on a journey. When passing by the pool with all those trees, plants, lights, and decorations it gets clearer why you came here. You can feel the balance and respect that has been put in between the style of the infrastructures and the nature that is surrounding it, making it a place of harmony. Once we’ve arrived at the end of the path to our room, we could only be amazed by the simplicity, authenticity and taste of decoration. We were about to live in connection with Mother Nature. The transformation starts here. Not only the hotel made us feel reconnected to nature but the themazcal made us reconnect to our true selves and we felt more alive. It’s an incredible experience that I recommend to anyone who meditates and is looking for a higher self awareness and spiritual connection. Also the staff made us feel welcomed and took great care of us at anytime and any moment! Special thanks to Jay, Fernando and Shio at the front desk, who were really helpful and devoted when ever we needed help; to Alejandro, Martin, Manual, and Martin for there smiles, positive vibes and sympathique but professional way of being; to Gloria and the massage team who are very professional and caring; to Diego and Claudia, for they’re open hearts, minds, spirits and amazing work; to the cooking staff for there delicious dishes; to the security staff, who made us feel safe; and finally to the cleaning and gardening staff that makes this places magnificent, cared, respected and always tidy. The excellent location and high level of service make this hotel an excellent choice for a comfortable stay. The hotel room delighted us with its stylish design and cozy atmosphere. The bed provided a great sleep, very clean and comfortable. The friendly staff was not only attentive to needs, but also provided support in organizing adventure activities, offering excursions and various activities, and recommended very good restaurants (we were there and there were really very cool and tasty restaurants). Tulum city was completely disappointing (except for park...

Tulum city was completely disappointing (except for park Jaguar and archeological site) so I’m so glad we stood in “zona hotelera”. We chose a hotel who was in walking zone to “escultura de la luz” and almost all the time we walked through the beach because the road is terrible. We heard all kind of stories and didn’t want to risk so we booked our excursions in advance to Chichen Itzá, Coba, Cenotes, Tulum, Akumal and Xuan Ka’an and couple of times we used the app in drive to get to some further restaurants or to the city. We loved La Eufemia for a relaxed local chiringuito, had a great treat in Ana y Jose hotel and party at Bagatelle. To pay we chose the Revolut card, you can charge it immediately and pay and tip with the mobile phone (although tip we like to leave it in cash if possible). We used exchange office called Capital (in the city center and in zona hot.) The greatest thing was the private tours because we really get to know the people and the reality of Tulum and Mexico. It’s always better if you speak Spanish. They are really grateful. Absolute adventure and xian Kaan community are the platforms we used and we were delighted. We enjoyed Tulum before the hordes come for Xmas but when sargassum was already gone. First half of December, great weather, no crowds, clean beach. I hope I can come back one day soon.

Nobody tells you about the toxic tap water which is...

Nobody tells you about the toxic tap water which is contaminated with sea water and definately not fit to drink. Hotels apparently don't seem to care in not providing water treatment and do not supply bottled waterunless paid for. Some really good affordable restaurants in town. It is rather a dirty, rubbish strewn town and is more expensive for everything than say Puerto Vallata and other popular coastal locations. Both the airport and train station are brand new but lacking a lot of facilities. We will be returning to Mexico again but not Tulum, most disapointing.

What I liked Tulum is undeniably beautiful.

What I liked Tulum is undeniably beautiful. The color of the sea, the beaches, the jungle and the cenotes are stunning, and many places have a very cool design and atmosphere. It really feels like a unique destination in terms of nature and scenery, and it can be a great place to disconnect if you just focus on the surroundings. What I didn’t like For the overall experience, Tulum is extremely overpriced and the level of service does not match what you pay. From the moment you arrive, the airport is chaotic and stressful, and renting a car feels like a trap, with hidden insurance charges and constant upselling. In general, everything is slow, basic requests often go unanswered, and the standard of customer service in many places is far below what you would expect in a major tourist destination. Xcaret, for example, charges Disney-level prices but doesn’t come anywhere close in terms of service, organization or quality. You constantly have the feeling that tourists are there to be overcharged rather than taken care of. Considering the prices, the whole experience is just not worth it.

I love Tulum and its people.

I love Tulum and its people. Staying in the Centro and walking around, exploring, meeting locals, eating all the delicious food options! A perfect mix of beach, city and jungle vibes. I find it to be a fun destination with kids. There's alot to do and visit and the transport to various interesting site is easy.

If you spend a week and visit all zones plus Zama and LaVeleta you will appreciate the different vibes of Tulum. It took me 3 separate visits to see all of this. I need a 4th visit to see Aldea Zama.

WAY to expensive. the 'public' beach will not allow food, plastic or beers on the beach so theres that. everything is built like crap and basically just meant for instagram. it wasnt what it used to be- i was there in 2019. I wont be going back, there are sooo many more places in mexico that i have been that are much much much better.

Absolutely loved the property’s jungle vibes and eco-friendly credentials. It is such a special place - feels very boutique and the design is stunning. The pool and cenote was so beautiful and the restaurant was excellent - as were the staff. We personally loved how it was removed from beach as the beach clubs are not our vibe. This was well situated for Tulum town (for incredible tacos and street food - Palma Central for this and live salsa), 20-30min walk away (or the hotel can arrange a taxi).

The staff were incredible. It was so nice being away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Tulum & the hotel zone. It is also only a short walk from excellent bars and restaurants. Julie and her team went above and beyond for us and gave us lots of recommendations for places to eat, different activities & organised private transfers and taxis for us. The breakfast was continental, which set us up for the day and suited us perfectly. Highly recommend booking here and wish we stayed longer!!

Really enjoyed my stay, exactly what I needed after a lot of travel and beach time this place felt a bit like home away from home. Had all the things I needed, possibly the cleanest place I stayed in Mexico and has all the title touches that makes it comfortable as a place. Staff are really lovely and keep you updated on what’s app if you need anything or advice. This place is a hidden gem and great value for money in Tulum.

One of the best hotel I’ve been to, decoration is chosen with lot of taste, atmosphere is really chill, staff is so friendly and helpful, it’s a refreshing oasis in the middle of the city of Tulum, breakfast are delicious, they have a pizza service, also really tasty!
