We loved absolutely everything. Staying at the resort feels like being in paradise. The architecture and gardens are stupendous. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful and efficient. A special mention must be made of the quality of the food : it is almost unbelievable to discover such a talented chef in the middle of the jungle : the restaurant can compete with the best in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. We would come back only to have another taste of the bamboo chicken!

Located by the river bank ( with a small jetty) , this property is picturesque. Views of the mountain is spectacular during sunrise. Loving the pool ( opens 24/7) , the cafeteria ( serves delicious food), the breakfast, and most of all excellent hospitality ( manager is very knowledgable about the surroundings, drivers are courteous and professional). Aside from airport transfers, property also provides transfers to the National Park. Coupled with the staff service level ( always above and beyond), this is a charming property with ‘delectable’ local experience.

Mulu National Park in Mulu has a garden and a restaurant. Boasting a tour desk, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The breakfast offers à la carte, American or Asian options.

The location was second to none! It was fantastic to be able to walk out the front door and be a five minute walk from a rainforest. Such a treat. I liked that all the staff who worked there are from the local community and they were always extremely friendly and hospitable.

Ideal location for visiting Mulu National Park. Good value for money, and the hosts are extremely friendly. Great for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is usually served in the National Park, where you spend the day. Clean homestay with a spacious room with an ensuite bathroom.

The owner, Diana, is very kind and friendly. The dinner and breakfast she made were very delicious. The garden is very big so we enjoyed fishing, playing football and walking with the dogs and chickens. The room was very clean. We loved relaxing on the balcony with the fresh air and the view of the river.

My stay was absolutely amazing! Dina, the owner, was fantastic, she organized an incredible jungle trip, including an unforgettable camping night in the middle of nature. We really enjoyed our stay at the Mulu Tribal Homestay. The rooms are spacious and clean. The kindness and thoughtfulness of Denny and Salina made our stay very enjoyable. The local but adapted food is delicious. Our children loved swimming in the river just behind (soft sand). The location of the Mulu Tribal Homestay is very convenient. Right across from the airport and a 10-15 minute walk from the park entrance. Transportation is available on site.

Dina and her husband are very kind and will welcome you very well! Only 7min walking from the entrance of the park, the homestay is well located and you could enjoy the park. You could meet many people and the room is very clean. I suggest to do a local tour organized by Dina with a local guide to visit a village and a waterfall, it's very interesting and nice hiking.

This review is based on the situations in a remote place like Mulu. The stay was good. It's about 1-1.5 km from Mulu national park and airport, so it's in walkable location. The host Helena and Shania was supportive. The room had 3 single beds. Initially I thought it would be a dormitory type of stay. But they have multiple rooms. It is a budget homestay. They prepare dinner and lunch is you ask for. Prices are at par with Mulu park restaurant.
