The hotel is a beautiful little quiet oasis with a very friendly and helpful staff who made our stay so easy and comfortable. The area around is beautiful and for adventurous travelers it is the perfect place to stay as the hotel helps arrange all kinds of activities for you like a trip to bako national park or the orangutang nature reserve. It was perfect in December as the hotel was quiet and the weather was nice.

We had a great time, the hotel room and grounds are beautiful, and the staff are warm and welcoming! We had arrived late from a long drive and the staff were so thoughtful, they had even contacted us early to ensure that we were well taken care off and accommodated our request for late night dinner even after the kitchen had closed. The food was all delicious!

Definitely exceeded our expectation. The apartment was immaculate and very comfortable. Complete with amenities such as cordless vacuum that makes cleaning easier. The ambiance was perfect. Outstanding service from the owner. Very attentive and helpful, making my experience exceptional. Worth every penny spent. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. I look forward to coming back. Perfect location for those who attended the Songwak Water Music Festival.

Relaxing and comfortable environment, private beach and pools, washing machine & dryer (also detergent) available at common area (free). Upgraded my room to sea view suite upon check-in, and have a separate bathroom & bathtub. Pool fling available, and the manager customize the menu for me as a lot of foods were out of stock during the stay due to new year. I love it! Also not to forget friendly and helpful staffs around, one of the staff helped to carry my luggage to the room. Tips: It’s suggested for you to bring mosquito repellent spray as there is a lot of mosquito-nature surroundings. Travel light weight, it might be a little challenging to carry heavy suitcase on the pad walkway if your room is further down.

Our visit to Santubong was a peaceful escape into nature’s beauty. Surrounded by lush green hills and set against the South China Sea, the area offers breathtaking views—especially during sunset at Damai Beach. The calm waves, golden skies, and majestic silhouette of Mount Santubong made it a perfect spot for reflection and photography. While we enjoyed the stunning scenery and relaxing atmosphere, some parts of the beach and resort surroundings could benefit from better maintenance to preserve the natural charm. Still, Santubong remains a wonderful destination for those who appreciate quiet moments, nature, and beautiful coastal landscapes.

Breakfast selection was very limited and the time taken for replenishment was slow. The pool facilities overall was as what we expected (decent), but we had a very unpleasant experience with the team building group that were present. There was loud techno music being played by the pool reception staff and when I approached him to request for him to either change the music or tone down the volume, he informed me that the music was requested by the other guests. I was later informed by the staff concerned that he did not have a choice but to honor the guests requests (which is totally understandable), but what made it a total turn off was the fact that the management did not put conditions on these types of guests requests which potentially disrupts the peace and serenity. I could go elsewhere if I'm being a "Karen" about this feedback, but it's my honest review. Apart from the crappy techno / rave music that was blasting from the pool area and the poor selection of breakfast, I'd give 4 stars for the service/ hospitality by the staff in general.

Nice place for the location, beach & mountain.

Nice place for the location, beach & mountain. Breakfast & other meals can be improved ~ however we should give management grace period post lockdown. Please improve the wifi - it can’t be used. Visit Cultural Village- it is within walking distance & nicely set up.

The Village House is by far the best option to stay in the Sarawak Kuching area. The village House offers roomy comfortable rooms and beds, super friendly staff who will do anything to satisfy your needs, quality breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The pool is clean and a drawcard for the guests to relax, swim and lounge. The village house also offers tours to see the beauty of Sarawak, such as rare protected animals, caves, and natural parks. Amazing location with 2 beautiful and quiet beaches. We saw so many proboscis monkeys just within the resort grounds. Breakfast was filling and other meals were of decent quality and not over priced. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked well. It was very clean inside considering we are in the middle of a jungle! We also liked that we could still walk to other restaurants for different sunsets, food and views. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Pros: The view from the front row B Suite is excellent. One of the best hotel views I have seen and exceeded my expectation. Room is large and comfortable. Environment is serene and relaxing. Transport within the hotel compound is very efficient. Staff are polite and helpful.

They provide free transfers around the area to the likes of the cultural village in really nice cars which is a huge plus as the hotel is relatively remote. Food is good, Sarawak laksa excellent.
