The location is spot on - walking distance to all major attractions. You wouldn't need a car but if you have one, they can provide a reserved spot for you. Accommodation itself is absolutely stunning. Exactly as how the pics advertised. Clean, comfy and unique - on top of everything else, the breakfast showcasing local cuisine was definitely the highlight! A true experience of peranakan culture in this historical town. Hosts are super friendly. Make sure you have time to explore the accommodation and have a chat with the hosts - it's not your regular bnb so don't just stay in your room!

Love the environment and the vibe that it has. The place is super clean and well maintained. The staffs were very helpful and also friendly. Love the room that we stayed in and the view from our room. Special thanks to Mr Amir (receptionist) who helped us through our checking in process. And also Mr Fizzy who took extra care to make our breakfast time enjoyable. Cool, funky, old true heritage hotel, lots of character. Comfortable, quiet and safe. Great location just steps from Christ Church and Jonker Street. Room was good sized, good shower, aircon worked fine, filtered water availbe in lobby for your bottles But most of all...the staff. Amir greeted us and got us sorted, provided loads of info and was cheerful and friendly and professional throughout our entire visit Dayah was a true gem. She was there in the evenings and kept us connected with food and transport, always with a big beautiful smile and kindness. We'd stay at JonkeRed again for the room and the location, but we'd go back just to see Dayah and Amir!

What a find this accommodation was! Atmosphere and Decor was out of the ordinary, staff were very friendly and accommodating, coffee and breakfast were excellent. The welcoming Blue pea lemonade was a highlight! Highly recommended
