The place is new, so everything was super clean. The rooms are cosy and beautiful. It's unfortunate that we only spent one night there. Should I find myself overnighting in Mariental, Cosy Nook will be my preferred place to stay. Also, the hosts were super amazing! Bless their wonderful souls. Please, if you ever find yourself in Mariental, I highly recommend Cosy Nook, a beautiful place and lovely hosts.

We stayed at the Godwana Lodge in Marienthal for the...

We stayed at the Godwana Lodge in Marienthal for the sundowner safari evening. Highly recommended! Guido explains everything very well, and at sunset, a bar is set up on the red sand dune – all included. So we stayed overnight in Marienthal at a reasonable price and then opted for the sundowner – highly recommended!

Although it's a guesthouse, we couldn't dine there.

Although it's a guesthouse, we couldn't dine there. You could, however, order food from two different restaurants. We ate at one (just around the corner), and it was fine. Perhaps a bit too much, though; apparently, the residents are used to large portions.

- Location ( you do not hear the heavy traffic on the B1) - Clean - Nice comfortable kingsize bed with cotton bedding - Good plunger coffee and rusks - Off street parking - Hospitable host (Ciska and Hendrik are very accommodating, giving tips what to in the vicinity of Mariental) - Sufficient kitchen utensils to make your own meal. - Room has insect screens so you can leave the window open. - 2 shops (shoprite and Woermann Brock) within walking distance. - Value for money.

Situated in a street close to the B1, the location of the hotel is still quiet. Our room had a nice and large terrace, opening towards the garden. The bed was of excellent quality. Refrigerator in the room, helpful to keep our drinks cold. The lady of the house Stephanie was very friendly, and gave us a warm welcome. Good breakfast and friendly service. No restaurant in the guesthouse, but restaurant Tahiti is closeby around the corner.

Most friendly & heartwarming hosts we've ever met. I can recommend Die Skuur Campsite ANYTIME! An absolute MUST even if you only need a night sleepover before continuing your travels in Namibia . I am an extremely fussy traveler and prefer chalets, hotels etc however combining camping with good places to stay over, this super clean and beautiful stands made me realise that camping can actually be fun as well!
