The place is new, so everything was super clean. The rooms are cosy and beautiful. It's unfortunate that we only spent one night there. Should I find myself overnighting in Mariental, Cosy Nook will be my preferred place to stay. Also, the hosts were super amazing! Bless their wonderful souls. Most friendly & heartwarming hosts we've ever met. I can recommend Die Skuur Campsite ANYTIME! An absolute MUST even if you only need a night sleepover before continuing your travels in Namibia . I am an extremely fussy traveler and prefer chalets, hotels etc however combining camping with good places to stay over, this super clean and beautiful stands made me realise that camping can actually be fun as well!

The host had recently purchased the facility and was super enthusiastic to make sure we had everything for a comfortable stay. While its not advertised as a full catering room, it does have a mini fridge, plates, cups, glasses, knives and forks. We told her we like to make strong coffee with our own coffee and she immediately provided us with a French press. We asked about braai (barbecue) options and she had her staff place one next to our room and even provided us with wood at no charge. We also felt that some of the extras she included like soap, shampoo, body soap and moisturizer were more than one could expect for a stay in this price range. It was really hot and stormy during our stay and the AC in the room was both quiet and did a good job keeping us comfortable and the beds allowed for a comfortable nights sleep.
