GermanyGood re-imagination of the old Fort. Big trees in the yard. Great view from the tower. Good food. Friendly people. Ernest is the perfect guide for a drive into the Hoanib river bed and visiting the desert elephants. We did this in our own car.

Anyone going to Puros should stay there for two or three...
Anyone going to Puros should stay there for two or three days; it's a fantastic area. In Sesfontein, on the outskirts of town towards Puros, you'll find the Lionsman's house—yes, there are lions there. If you find your way there, you'll see stunning landscapes. You'll need a 4x4 vehicle for the desert, but it's well worth it.
