Laura is such a lovely host. The property is on top of a hill meaning you have the best view of both beaches: playa gigante and playa amarillo 😍 it's the most peaceful little place with a beautiful garden, hammocks and little platforms to chill and enjoy the view! There is a private access to playa amarillo from the back of the house so you get a shortcut to the surf beach 🙌🏼 There is a kitchen if you want to cook or make some coffee in the morning. It's all new/just renovated and very clean! Also the WiFi was working really well so that I could do work calls with the a stunning view.

Ended up extending multiple times because we just did not want to leave. Hernan, Hugo, Sandino and the volunteers absolutely made our stay in Gigante and made us feel like a family in a home away from home. The village is small and intimate with good people and vibes around every corner. Counting the days untill we can come back to Chill Garrobo

perfect place for a nice relaxing beach stay. easy walking distance to both really nice beaches which are good for swimming and surfing. small kitchen that is well equipped to cook with. Nubia the host is very nice and helpful! she helped us get to a doctors clinic in Rivas. also the cat and dog are so lovely and are great company when reading a book. we loved staying here and would definitely come back when in Nicaragua

Amazing stay at this sweet, local family-owned place :) Yeni, her husband and their daughter are such a lovely family, they were so helpful, understanding and flexible with timings - which was much appreciated, as I was travelling during the busiest time of the year, Semana Santa! They can give you recommendations for places to eat and help you with transport too :) The rooms are basic but have everything you need. I'd definitely recommend staying here when you come to El Gigante!

The most beautiful place ever! The whole place has been designed with travelers in mind. Dorms have closets for each person, there is a shelf going around your bed, personal outlet, privacy curtains, a full length mirror and the room feels spacious. Everything is exceptionally clean. The staff, volunteers and owners are lovely and very helpful. Truly feels like home, I extended 3 times because I didn’t want to leave 😅 Great location, close to surfing beaches and there’s a little grocery store just around the corner. Thank you Tukasa, I can’t wait to come back!
