The location is in the heart of Joure, as described. There is everything in the near vicinity, supermarkets, restaurants, dominos pizza, church, etc. The larger apartment even has a small private courtyard, nicely decorated. Everything was so new and tidy, that we were afraid of breaking something. The stay was such a wonderful experience. Really worth more Ethan we paid for, is the first impression I got.

Akkrum has a very nice village, excellent cheese shop, fresh...

Akkrum has a very nice village, excellent cheese shop, fresh bakery and good supermarket furthermore nice boutiques and cute restaurants. Location is excellent, close to the village. We had lunch at Goerres and at The Cleef, both nice. Easy to get around. We biked the Pondjes route, really excellent. The info in the accommodation is perfect, lots of biking tours mentioned ad well as restaurants.

Akkrum is a very small village.

Akkrum is a very small village. Quiet with a few small but interesting shops. It's lovely to stroll through and then stop for a bite to eat at Hotel Goerres, stay overnight, or have a drink by the water. Peace and quiet. But it's a good base for exploring the charming towns nearby.

Regarding the hotel: The bathroom was very difficult for me.

Regarding the hotel: The bathroom was very difficult for me. After a stroke on my left side, I'm unable to get into a bath (with shower) and had to do a cat's bath after two nights. This is manageable, because after those two nights, you're not completely washed from head to toe.

The hotel is essy to find in a good location in Akkrum. Parking is easy arround the hotel. The room was big enough for three beds and clean. Bit not modern. I liked the way they serve breakfast. Really friendly stuff and kids are welcomed

This is a beautiful house adjoining the hotel Goerres with gorgeous views onto the waterfront from the back patio. There were some items missing from the house which our host Margaretha provided quickly when we asked for them.

The hotel is a bit dated but that is what adds to its charm. It's in a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
