My expectation was far exceeded by this Hotel experience. I've booked the loft room and it was one of the best Hotel rooms I've stayed in and I had my fair share of hotel ledgings. The staff were extremely friendly and the hotel looked clean and well maintained. The location is top notch as you are in the center of the town. I strongly recommend this hotel.

The castle and its amenities have an interesting history...

The castle and its amenities have an interesting history which the lady of the B&B can tell you about. Quite the story! With the Christmas tree still in common room and the squirrels playing outside you feel very privileged staying here. Coffee and tea are free and if you are a wine lover, please let the host know: he is a certified sommelier and he serves beautiful wines - also with their story!

Baexem is situated in a beautiful area with unique towns and nature reserves. There's a wealth of history in towns like Thorn and Roermond. There's always a place to dine, such as at the Abbey in Horn or a Chinese restaurant in Ittervoort.

The host was extremely friendly and helpful. We were offered a drink upon arrival. The reception area was impressive with the paintings on the walls. The host lit the fireplace for us and advised us on dinner, as the castle doesn't provide one.

Baexem is located in the center of Limburg and is an ideal starting point for many attractions in this region. The German region just across the border, the area between the Meuse and Rhine rivers, is also worth exploring. For city breaks, Maastricht, Eindhoven, Hasselt, Roermond, Aachen, and Cologne are just a few kilometers away by car.

We were passing through and looking for a place to stay.

We were passing through and looking for a place to stay. Baexem Castle was a perfect choice. A truly old castle. Beautiful, clean room, a wonderful bed, a fantastic breakfast, and very friendly owners. Definitely a place to return to, and stay a little longer this time.
