Since we were in Balk during the off-season, it was...

Since we were in Balk during the off-season, it was pleasantly quiet and we found plenty of places to eat and drink. We took some lovely bike rides from Balk. We were able to store our bikes in the garden and there was also an e-bike charging station available.

Balk is located in a beautiful village on a shopping street.

Balk is located in a beautiful village on a shopping street. The surroundings are beautiful and nostalgic. You can enjoy walking, cycling, shopping, and truly unwinding and enjoying the sights around you. The rooms are simple, but they have everything you need. The food is fantastic and the price-quality ratio is excellent. Highly recommended!

A super cute little village with everything you need.

A super cute little village with everything you need. A few nice restaurants, several supermarkets, a good bakery, butcher, and fishmonger. Delicious cakes and coffees with a lovely garden at the Buterhus. Several nice clothing and gift shops.

It was fine, actually too short, but after Balk we continued...

It was fine, actually too short, but after Balk we continued our vacation to another location. There's a really nice Bakker Meinsma with their homemade Frisian Orange Cake, definitely worth recommending.
