The grounds are stunning, and so is the decor of the hotel. The breakfast is sumptuous! The hotel room was a very pleasing shape, as it was not square or rectangular, but had an interesting round window alcove with shutters. The bathroom was spotless and the shower had two choices of shower head. I also liked that scattered within the hotel were little seating areas and also very pretty garden areas with decorative statues and such. All in all an excellent hotel, very good value for money.

Super friendly staff at check in and restaurant. We had with friends diner in the evening and the buffet was very extensive. But due to dietary requirements of my wife it was no problem for the staff to cook a special dish for her. Fantastic.

We were there for a motorcycle rally so our experiences were...

We were there for a motorcycle rally so our experiences were centered around this. The general area is clean and tidy and people are friendly we had a good feel about the place. Would go there again. We only used one restaurant locally outside the venue, it was ok but I felt its charges were too high.

It is located in a very nice area, a good starting point for walks. The hotel has its own charm, and the rooms are nice. Breakfast was good, with lots of choice & I really liked the homemade jams. It looked as if the yoghurt was homemade as well, what to me would be a plus. You can book a table in the restaurant for an above average dinner. I was very pleased the temperature of my room was nice to sleep in: I like a colder room. Though I’m sure the room could be properly heated if that is your preference.

I booked the hotel to have a relaxing Spa weekend with massages. Well, as we arrived they told us the massage area is closed, it's under construction. If I had known that, I wouldn't have booked that hotel. I do not understand why it was not written on the booking.com page that the massage area is closed. Also in the rooms of a 4-star hotel, there are no fridges or a phone for room service. Very disappointed 😞
